Hoopz Wins ‘I Love Money’ & The Quarter Million Dollars
October 5, 2008 9:46 am I Love Money, VH1After several weeks, many eliminations and two quitters, Hoopz won I Love Money with a comeback win over Whiteboy. On the last elimination episode both Toastee and Pumpkin were eliminated, leaving the final four of Real, Hoopz, Whiteboy and Megan. All three wanted to win but with Megan the only one not in the alliance she realized that the only way to make it to the end would be to win the role of Pay Master. At the final Pay Master challenge the final four reenacted a fond moment from Flavor of Love 2. In that season Buckeyee almost pushed Krazy over the balcony and they were about to do the same.
For the challenge the fastest person to carry a Krazy doll over a suspended pathway, throw the doll over the balcony at the end and then return to the other side would win. Megan was up first and after getting halfway across the platform she fell, dropping the Krazy doll and disqualifying her. Hoopz was up next and although she quickly got across and threw Krazy over the balcony, she forgot to return and that hurt her time. Next up was Real and after completing the task only a few seconds past Hoopz’s time he was no longer in the running. That left Whiteboy to try his hand and with a time of 16 seconds he beat Hoopz out to become the final Pay Master of the game.
Before their Power Dinner Real and Megan chatted about who would go. Megan believed it would be her since she was the only one not in the alliance of the four but Real had other thoughts. He knew that his and Whiteboy’s friendship was strained after he brought up that Whiteboy might have a thing going with Hoopz. The two really didn’t talk much after that but they sure did at the power dinner! After a few minutes of akward silence Whiteboy opened the floor to conversation and that’s when the fun started. Megan told Whiteboy that Real didn’t feel any loyalty to him anymore and Real responded by saying that Megan wanted Whiteboy gone a few rounds ago. A drunken argument then ensued with Megan, Hoopz and Real yelling at each other trying to defend what they said as truth. With the dinner finally over it was time for the last elimination and of course a surprise!
With Whiteboy in power he decided to drink although he said he normally doesn’t. When asked to give out the first check Whiteboy asked Real to come up to him. After saying how good friends they were and how much they kept each other safe, Whiteboy’s stance then changed saying that Real didn’t keep his head in the game. After a few moments of stumbling Whiteboy asked Craig to void Real’s check. That left Real a bit upset as he leashed out comments as to why he shouldn’t have been eliminated. Craig then stopped the quarrel by telling Real to sit on the sofa and sent Whiteboy to stand with the two girls. Everyone knew something was up and that had never happened before.
Since it was a game similar to that of Big Brother and Survivor, Craig then told the final three that those final elimination would be done by a jury of those eliminated after the merger. Pumpkin, Toastee, Entertainer, Heather and 12 Pack then walked down the stairs to join Real. They were told that the six jury members would chose the two finalists who would compete for the grand prize. Before that could occur though Megan had a realization that she screwed everyone sitting there over and that they were going to rip her to shreds. She then raised her hand, said she was quitting and walked out of the house similar to her friend Brandi C. Megan said she was never there for the money but rather just for the game and fun. I can see that and honestly not upset about it either since she was probably the best part of the show.
Now that the jury portion was a bust the six eliminees left complaining about their hotel accommodations and ready to party. Guess that’s no surprise. That left both Hoopz and Whiteboy to compete for the $250,000 in their last challenge of the game. When they got to their first location Craig let them know that it would be a race back to the house while competing in several challenges along the way. The first was to beg for 100 pesos in the town square. Whiteboy quickily found his from a little old lady and was off to the next location. Hoopz had some trouble since she didn’t speak Spanish and several minutes later found her 100 pesos by selling her belly ring to a very very strange man. With Whiteboy in a far lead Hoopz was getting worried that there would be no way for her to win. It didn’t help that she god stuck in traffic thanks to a car crash either!
When Whiteboy arrived at the second leg he learned that the would have to run down a steep slope to the beach below. He was a bit scared that he would fall onto a scorpion or something along the way but began his decent. Still far behind was Hoopz in the taxi but she finally made it to the slope as well and also complained about the danger of it all. Down at the third leg Whiteboy began to roll a large coin through the sand. After running down the slope he wasn’t too excited for it but pulled through anyway. With the coin past the finish line Whiteboy jumped into his boat and began the cruise back to the house. Right as Whiteboy’s boat pulled away, Hoopz landed at the sand and was exhausted. She started to roll the coin throughout the course as well but almost gave up knowing how far ahead Whiteboy was.
Back at the house Whiteboy first had to swim to their private beach and climb the several steps to the backyard. There he found the last leg of the challenge to place those eliminated in order they were eliminated. After getting the first two correct White then got several wrong, switching Boston’s and Destiny’s pictures and placing them in the wrong elimination location. Hoopz then finally made her way up to the backyard and realized that she still had a shot. Remembering who went when, Hoopz quickly put the pictures in the correct order and with an amazing comeback ended up winning the quarter of a million dollars and the game of I Love Money. Whiteboy wasn’t too upset since he felt ok losing to Hoopz but she was ecstatic. She wants to provide for her family and was happy to have won the game in such an amazing comeback. So there you have it folks, I love Money is now said and done and probably one of the better shows VH1 has had in a long time. Hoopz is not only the winner of I Love Money but won Flavor of Love as well. Will we see another crop of VH1 crazies vying for their love of money again? We’ll have to wait and find out!
