On last weeks Amazing Race a colorful leg sent divorces Kelly and Christy packing. This week the remaining five teams (finally) leave New Delhi, India in hopes of reaching Kazakhstan…. very nice. Nick and Starr were, once again, the first out of the gate since they are “oh so amazing”. Toni and Dallas were not far behind but once they caught up the sparks began to fly. Dallas and Starr began to flirt once again and decided to work together, with their mom and bother, to gain seats on the first flight out. At the airport all the teams met up for some airport drama. Nick/Starr and Toni/Dallas got the first flight out while Ken/Tina and Terrence/Sarah fought to also get on the flight. Although Ken and Tina left before Terrence and Sarah, they were able to gain the last seats and flew away in the first plane. Terrence and Sarah then got the last tickets on the second flight while Dan and Andrew left a few hours behind them.

After landing in Kazakhstan the three teams on the first flight rushed to the first location: a chicken factory. There they realized they couldn’t do anything until 7:30 in the morning, creating an equalizing and allowing Terrence/Sarah and Dan/Andrew to catch up. When the gates finally did open everyone rushed to the clue box. It was time for the rounds Road Block where one team member would have to search through several chickens looking for a golden egg. Inside the clue was also the last Fast Forward for the season. Both Terrence/Sarah and Nick/Starr rushed to bypass all tasks, meaning one would have to return to finish the rest of the leg. Inside the chicken coupe Toni was first to find an egg. She and Dallas then rushed to find a crane truck while Andrew and Tina found an egg. They ended up leaving around the same time and both were on their way to find a crane.

Last weeks Amazing Race 13 ended in India and this week did as well. Following the non-elimination leg all teams knew that someone was going home and the pressure was on for Ken and Tina especially. Leaving the pit stop the next morning the teams had to find an apartment building in New Deli that would give them their first task for the day. Nick and Starr landed at the Road Block first and read us the challenge. What one teammate had to do was run through an Indian festival, climb a latter, find a clue and return to their teammate. It sounds simple but oh was it crazy. The festival involved hurling colored powder and water at others, especially the racers. Each racer got pelted as they ran throughout the crowd and even some who weren’t doing the Road Block got painted as well!

Starr decided to do the Road Block for the siblings and she completed it rather quickly got surely got painted! As they read their clue one of the festival goers ran up to Nick and painted him with pink powder. They quickily left the area and were off to their next task. Toni/Dallas arrived next, beating out Kelly/Christy, and Dallas was able to quickily find the clue. He and Toni were then off to their next task at the Bird Hospital as well. Kelly and Christy arrived at the festival next and didn’t read their clue….. again. Kelly decided to do take the task, assuming that she had to run through the crowd and pull the clues one at a time and return to Christy. The task was actually to stay at the clues, find the right one and then return but by assuming she had to pull them one by one Kelly lost valuable time.

The non-elimination leg was pretty predictable to show up this episode but surely the team that it saved was not. After their 12 hour rest period it was time for the teams to leave Cambodia. The next stop on this amazing race was Deli, India where all the teams took the same flight. They were required to use the same travel agent to book flights, giving them a nice equalizer. There Starr and Dallas, of two different teams, rekindled their “friendship” from the second episode. Both said they would want to be friends off the race but on it seems akward as Dallas’ mom Toni and Starr’s brother Nick are always there to break the two apart.

As the teams arrived in Deli things quickily became a taxi race. Nick and Starr were first to get out while Dan/Andrew and Toni/Dallas followed behind. Ken and Tina were the last to depart as they had trouble finding a taxi and seemed to get the worst driver ever. Nick/Starr and Dan/Andrew arrived at their next location first with a road block to come. What they had to do was choose one of the team members to first mask off a tut tut car then paint the rest green. Apparently India is going “green” so they want to express that on their small taxi’s. Starr chose to do the task along with Andrew. Toni/Dallas and Kelly/Christy then arrived followed by Terrance and Sarah who struggled finding the location. Ken and Tina were last to the spot as their taxi driver, as I said before, had no idea where he was going.

The Amazing Race 13 visited an amazingly scenic country this week in Cambodia where towns float and temples spire over the land. As the teams left New Zealand there were some issues at the airport. Tina and Ken were first out thanks to their fast forward from last week and arrived at the airport first. Although they knew Terence and Sarah were behind they feared they may just catch up. Of course the two did just that even though there were some issues along the way. Terrence got pulled over for speeding on the highway which put them a bit behind but luckily they were able to catch the same flight.

Terence and Sarah weren’t the only ones to equalize the game at the airport. Toni/Dallas and Christy/Kelly ended up at the airport at the same time and had a bit of a confrontation. Kelly and Christy were making fun of Dallas, calling his Teen Wolf which didn’t sit well with Dallas. I don’t think he heard them but realized they were talking about him, luckily he let it slide. With those two teams plus Nick and Starr on the same flight that left Dan/Andrew and Aja/Ty still flight-less. Dan and Andrew landed at the airports just in time to make the flight but only after much coaxing. The travel agent told them they couldn’t get on but going to the front desk helped the guys out at the left Aja and Ty alone in New Zealand.

Who would have thought the stupid mistakes would continue on the Amazing Race 13? Well they did and because of one small taxi ride the geeks were eliminated from the Amazing Race. Before the race even began we were greeted by a small argument that revolved once again Nick and Starr. Apparently Christy’s sports bra fell off of a ledge while it was trying and she though Starr pushed it overboard. Starr said it wasn’t her but Christy and Kelly wouldn’t believe it, adding them to the “we hate Nick/Starr” group. When the teams left they all arrived at the airport where they were told to head to Bolivia. There they learned they had to find a statue and wait for the mornings paper. Since it was late at night all the teams reached the statue at the same time, giving them their first overnighter on the streets of Bolivia.

The next morning Nick tried to smooth things over with Kelly/Christy but they wouldn’t’ take it. They didn’t want to make friends on the race and basically shrugged him off. When the papers arrived everyone jumped on the delivery guy. The frat boys quickly found the ad in the paper saying to head to a hat store and they were off. Tina/Ken were next who took Nick/Starr along with them. Others followed with the southern belles and Kelly/Christy pulling up the rear. At the hat store the teams had to first buy a hat to get their next clue. The clue pointed them to a detour where they would either ride a rickety bike through the streets of Bolivia or find a group of musicians and lead them through the streets.

On the last episode of the Amazing Race 13 the Hippies were eliminated leaving ten teams remaining. This week those ten teams raced throughout Brazil having one of the most mistake filled legs ever seen on the show. It all began where the last leg left off as Starr/Nick and Ken/Tina were the first out of the gate and at the airport. Here they learned the earliest flight to their next location in Brazil was all full. As Tina persisted begging to get on the lady at the flight counter let them know the flight was raised to a larger flight, giving not only them but the rest of the teams availability on the flight.

While at the airport Terence and Sarah continued their crazy antics, complaining that Nick/Star/Tina/Ken were in an alliance and that they “didn’t say hello”. It was actually very funny to see them complaining about that but their quarrel didn’t stop there. Since Tina thought she got the flight changed for everyone she told them all that they owed her. She and Ken then decided to butt in front of everyone in line for the plan, setting Terence off. He didn’t think they deserved to get ahead and started to rip Tina apart. Ken stepped in to save her and the quickly stopped following the commercial break. How convenient.
