Celebrity Circus has had a rather interesting run as its had both good and bad weeds. I must say it was at least somewhat entertaining but could never be as good as Dancing With The Stars. Tonight the winner will be revealed between Stacey, Wee Man and Antonio who will take home a prize which we never really were told what. Although the reveal was rather simple all the celebrities were back to perform one last time.
Blu, who was out first, sang her famous song instead of doing the stunts which she really sucked out. Good for her I guess but apparently she didn’t care enough to even try. Janet left the show rather early and I almost forgot she was even on it. Tonight she performed with Vladimir on the swinging thing. It was pretty good as she jumped into the air only to be caught mid fall. I don’t remember if she did this during the show but if not she should have as she did it really well!
Christopher Knight then came onto the set and let everyone know how he enjoyed the experience. He wasn’t able to do any stunts or perform though as his arm is still healing after breaking twice in only a short few weeks. He was good while he was on and he went out in a very sad way. Last up of those who went home pre-finale was Rachel Hunter. She performed the first act she ever did and did it rather well. I must say I was a fan of Rachel throughout the show and although she may not have been the most athletic she was the most fun to watch!
For their final performances ever in the Circus the three finalists performed together. Wee Man did his balancing act with Vladimir. Stacey did her flying hula hoop act while Antonio did a flaying st rapes act. It was nice to see them all working together to perform and I must say they all did well. Following the act the three was narrowed down to two with Wee Man being the one to take the fall. This left either Stacey Dash or Antonio Sabato Jr as the winner but we had to wait to see. Wee Man let everyone know he was there to have fun and he sure did just that.
The entire night and competition culminated here as it was time to crown the winner of Celebrity Circus. Both Stacey and Antonio did a great job throughout the season but Stacey seemed to be a step above throughout her entire run. Although Stacey had the better performances throughout Antonio’s perfect 10 last week from the judges was hard to beat and he was crowned the winner of the Celebrity Circus. I’m not sure if there will be another one but if there is you’ll know I’ll be watching and covering it right here at Reality Rehash!
So what do you think of Antonio winning? Leave a comment and let us know!

After last weeks great performances I wasn’t sure what Celebrity Circus would bring, but wow did they sure bring some great acts! Although the show was full of great performances, it starts off with a sad note. During his practice Chris took a large fall and re broke his arm. Because of this the doctor said he could no longer compete in the circus and therefore he removed himself from the show. Because of this all the celebrities move on to the last round before the finals. Saving someone who was meant to go home this week.
First up was Wee Man. Last week the judges finally gave him praise and I wasn’t sure if he could hold up to their standards but he really did. His act was the hand balancing act and he performed it with his “bro” Vlad. It was a great performance with Wee Man keeping up with the seasoned Vlad and it was hard to tell that they had limited practice time. He even lifted Vlad up in the end, earning him a standing ovation and the shows first 10 from each of the three judges.
The shows Golden Girl was up next and Stacey’s act was amazing as well. This week she wanted to take the stress out of the circus and not focus so much on winning. It seems this was her downfall as although her performance was amazing, the judges were somewhat harsh. Stacey’s act was the rocking cradle and it took a ton of skill to perform it. She worked with a partner who mostly swung on the cradle as she flipped and spun as he caught her mid air. It was a very risky stunt and she handled it well. Of course there were a few flubs but still it was great. The judges all gave her an 8 and said she didn’t bring her “diva” style. Stacey is growing on me more yet the judges and I seem to always have a differing view of her.
Next up was Antonio who after a lackluster week last week needed something big. It turns out his original act was trapeze and in the end it didn’t work out. Because of that he ended up changing to the wheel of death. Although he was scared to do the act, Antonio pulled through and had an ok performance when it counted. The first three turns of the wheel had Antonio doing the same grasping/upside down move with really no variety. In the end he did a handstand at the top of the wheel and that’s about it. If I was a betting man I’d say he’ll be heading home next week after that but really who knows. Thankfully the judges agreed with me and gave Antonio two 7s and an 8.
Rachel was the last to go this week and her act was being billed once again as one of the most dangerous acts the show has seen yet. Her pre-performance package showed her hyping up to battle the bull but in the end we were all fooled as the bull ended up being a dog! It was VERY entertaining and one of the most fun acts to watch ever on the show. It may not have been dangerous or risky but it will be one of the most memorable acts from the show. The judges seemed to be speechless after they saw her act but seemed to love it. Rachel said she knew it was a risk but wanted to do it to get the full circus experience. The judges seemed to go against their sheer joy of the act by giving her two 6s and a 7. Hopefully the votes are there to save Rachel since her act was good even if it wasn’t risky!

Celebrity Circus returns with another death defying episode. They claim the most dangerous act ever performed on the show will be on tap for the latest run, but will it impress? Things start off right away with the reveal that Stacey, Christopher and Rachel (yay) are safe and not going home. It’s down to Wee Man, Antonio and Janet but Wee Man is somehow safe, confusing the hell out of me! He sucked last week and really deserved to go home.
Chris is first and after last weeks fire act, he realized that he has to do some acrobatics to get on the judges good side. His act for this week was the bungee, something hard for him to do with a broken arm. Since Stacey already did the bungee, of course the judges will base his performance off of their golden child. Although he looked somewhat uncomfortable on the bungee, Chris did a good job as he spun his way through the performance. This time he included a trapeze bar in the mix which did add an interesting touch but the judges were mixed. Of course they compared him to Stacey, the British guy did, but the other two loved him and that’s all the matters! Two 9s and a 6, which was great, but still the stupid British guy screwed him over!
Stacey is up next and I’m sure the judges will all love her. Her stunt is Blu’s downfall and that is the Spanish Web. In her practice package Stacey freaks out, a bit divaish? Blu did the same and she left, maybe the same will happen for Stacey. For once I’m impressed and feel she finally did a great performance. But for some reason the judges disagree? Um what’s going on. For some reason the judges have a false vision of Stacey and I’m not sure why. She spun well and it was very entertaining but of course the British guy loved her. Why am I not surprised? Two 7s and a 10 give Stacey the same score as Chris (and by the way how in the world is she 41!?!?!?)
Next up is the lackluster Week Man. I have a feeling he got through on his fame and fans calling in since he didn’t deserve to stay. The Flying Strap is his act and this time he has to act a bit as a story has been added for once. Although then hanging onto the straps Wee Man didn’t do too much. Of course he flipped a few times and flipped again, but that’s about it. I wasn’t impressed but the judges thought he did much better compared to last week. They liked the theatrical part of the show and that’s enough to give him a thumbs up. His score ends up being a 7 and two 8s, much better then the 4s he got last week!
Rachel is up next and she’s performing the most dangerous act of the show! I hope she does well since she’s afraid of heights and that’s the whole part of her performance. She’s doing the high wire that includes a trick that in the past killed someone, the pyramid. She’s walking, dancing and pyramiding on the the high wire and things were sure interesting. To make sure things stay safe, Rachel is was a safety wire and I don’t blame her. Although she’s safe, the others on the pyramid with her aren’t. They silence the audience and begin, tethered together are Rachel and two helpers. She’s balancing on a pole between the two in a very tense moment. Amazingly all three make it across safe. Although it wasn’t too thrilling it was exciting and risky! The judges thought she did a great job considering she was afraid of heights and gave her two 7s and an 8.
It was then time to reveal if Antonio or Janet would leave. Janet was the one selected to leave, probably because knows who the hell she is! She thanks the trainers and it was then up to Antonio to perform. His act is the Chinese pole, which is two poles next two each other that you can leap from and grab onto. Antonio’s act was pretty good once again but the judges seemed somewhat bored. They didn’t think he controlled himself well on the pole and lacked theatrics. Although those were mentioned they say Antonio was the only one who could have done the Chinese poles so it was a rather unbalanced judging for him. The votes were then made giving Antonia Sabato Jr a 7, 8 and 9.
With all the performances done only five remain and its a tie for the bottom as wee Man and Rachel share the bottom spot. Next week promises death defying acts and thrilling performances. All of them tonight were great so I’m sure it won’t disappoint!

Last week Celebrity Circus brought some amazing and not so amazing performances. This time around everyone seemed to step up their game but still one person had to go home. The show started off quickly with Joey revealing the first three celebrities safe from elimination. Stacey, Antonio and Janet. I can say that I’m not surprised the three moved on as they were heavily praised by the judges last week. Although I don’t think all of them had amazing performances I was excited to see what they could do this week.
Stacey was up first and performed a similar act to Rachel’s last week, the spinning/hanging ring. It seems like she had a tough week as she had to change her routine last minute but it didn’t show that much in her performance. Her act was actually very good but not as amazing as the judges made it out to be. I feel they are favoring her for some reason when she doesn’t deserve it as her performances haven’t been all that spectacular.
Antonio was next and we saw a short segment of how well he and his partner are getting for the act. He performed a body balance act with a professional. Although it wasn’t that dangerous it was interesting to watch and did seem difficult. He made it look easy and although he improved from last week his scores were still somewhat low compared to Stacey’s average of a 9.
Next up was Janet who the judges said lacked “sexiness” last week. She worked on that during most of her practice and almost seemed to care more about being sexy then actually doing the stunts. Her act this week was very well performed. Although the lady judge (no clue what her name was) didn’t think she was “technical” enough the two guys loved it. I for one think Janet’s performance was much better then Stacey’s as she did several of the stunts on her own. I hate comparing everyone to Stacey but they set her bar so high when she really isn’t there yet.
It was then time to reveal the next two safe from elimination. Chris and Wee Man were told they were moving on, leaving Rachel and Blu on the bubble to leave. I knew that Blu would be there but Rachel? Her performance was very good last week and the judges stupid bashing probably put her there. I hate how delusional they are and it really does seem they are playing favorites.
Chris’ performance was very different from the others as he was doing a Fire Clown act. It’s something I’ve never heard of before but was very funny and very entertaining! He set himself on fire several times, swallowed and spit fire and also blew up his crotch! To me the fire was more dangerous then the swinging in the air, but the judges didn’t agree. Apparently only “flying” acts deserve praise and they gave him one of the lower scores of the night.
Wee Man was the next to go and he was performing the German Wheel. He seemed hesitant at first since it’s what Chris broke him arm on but quickly got past the fear. During practice it seemed he wanted to bond more then practice. They had a segment of him and his coach at a spa and swimming in the pool. The judges busted him on it later but I’m sure it was a segment scripted by the producers. Although he seemed to train hard his show didn’t go so well. Wee Man fumbled several times, getting out of synch and even tripping once or twice. After receiving pretty harsh words from the judges, Wee Man showed that he could do a “coin flop” but it was too late. He received two 4s and a 6, giving him the lowest score of the night.
It was then time to reveal who was going home. Joey then announced eliminated and the best part of the night began. Knowing that the judges couldn’t say a work Blu erupted into a rant against Aurelia (had to look that up) and basically said she disagreed with what she said last week. She told Aurelia that she wants a challenge between the two of them to see who could do each others job better. Blu argued that Aurelia could never sing her songs but she herself could do Aurelia’s job. Blu then walked off stage with a smile as you could hear Aurelia in the background asking if she could talk. Of course she couldn’t as it was time for a commercial break and time for Rachel to perform.
During the week Rachel seemed to have the most rough time. She was doing a hammock routine but since she is so tall the average hammock was too small for her. One of the coaches in the circus decided a new version of hammock had to be created so Rachel performed a stunt designed just for her. I must say that it was very good and much better then last week. The judges agreed and told Rachel they loved her progress. Her scores were around a 7.5 and she was happy with that as she only had a few days to prepare.
After two episodes of Celebrity Circus I can honesty say I’m hooked. It’s similar to Dancing With the Stars but different in a way as it is defenitly more risky and challenging. I hope it continues to keep my interest as they bring more stunts and harder stunts into the show. Hopefully the judges will wise up and stop favoring certain people and hopefully more drama happens next week!

Another Celebrity “talent” show is just beginning and I ask myself just how long it will last. It seems as if Celebrity Circus will go the way of “Secret Talents of the Stars” as it has a very similar concept. This time around there are less A-List celebs and much more D-List celebs and most are reality veterans to begin with. Wee Man, Rachel Hunter and Christopher Knight have been in reality television for several years now and it’s not that surprising to see them back. The other celebrities aren’t that noticeable either as most were famous way back when.
The shows concept is to take celebrities and make them practice “death defying” circus acts. They then have to perform these acts in front of America where we will vote for one of the celebrities to be voted off. It’s nothing knew, basically a change of a used format, but at least sounds interesting I guess. All the Celebrities say it was hard to do all the stunts but seriously a CIRCUS show? I can only ask when NCB will start to air America’s Got Talent instead of Celebrity Talent.
Antonia Sabato Jr was up first and does a silk flying act. His act was pretty good as it does seem he needed at least some talent to perform the stunt. Although most of the moves were fairly straightforward and not TOO risky yet it makes me wonder if the show will have them doing the same acts week after week of if they must learn new ones. I’m blogging as I watch the show and so far I’m at least somewhat impressed.
Now we are treated to the judges. A trapeze artist, an Olympic medal gymnast and a choreographer. Nobody noteworthy besides Joey Fatone being the host. I find it funny that the choreographer is English. Do they really ALWAYS have to have at least one British judge? I guess it is in the Reality Competition Handbook but apparently they decided not to break the mold. Although the judges gave him a good critique Antonia Sabato Jr got a seven, eight and another eight. Somewhat impressive but I thought they would be better. It was just revealed that the show is using the same format as Dancing With the Stars as the judges votes count for 50 percent while America’s vote count for the other 50 percent.
Rachel Hunter is next and someone I’m waiting for. She’s always been good on all the past shows she’s been on so I expect a lot from Rachel. It seems like she will be dong cercau which is basically like Antonio’s act yet with a spinning ring. It seems like Rachel had some pain during the practice as she had a few herniated disks. Rachel is now up, literally 50 feet above the “runway”. Her act involved a lot of spinning, spinning and more spinning. Her dancing practice a few years ago really paid off big time for this as she’s doing really well so far. It’s a great act, it looks great and she’s doing some hard stuff which surprises me. When it’s all said and done Rachel did well and I’m glad! I’m rooting for her as she’s great for the show for multiple reasons. The judges didn’t really like it apparently as they say she didn’t do too many tricks. Although they say she’s out of her element they say she did ok but not that great. The scores are in, a six, seven and another seven. Not TOO bad, hopefully she stays!
It’s now Wee Man’s turn and this should be interesting. He’s used to these types of stunts from Jackass but it seems he’s doing the “Wheel of Death”. He has to walk around a large wheel that will spin him up and over the air. It’s basically a giant hamster wheel that flies into the sky. The wheel of death was banned for over 20 years but now its up to wee man to perform it. It’s nothing more then walking in a moving wheel. The stunt isn’t that entertaining in my opinion but that’s not really his fault I guess. With the wheel on fire and Wee Man walking on the outside it hasn’t added much. Of course it IS dangerous, just not that entertainning. Of course he did stumble in the end but otherwise the Wheel of Death wasn’t that deathly. The judges agreed that there didn’t seem to be that much danger there. Scores are in, an eight, seven and a five. I’d probably give his a four considering it wasn’t that entertaining.
The next one up is Stacey Dash, someone I’ve never heard of. Oh now I know who she is, the girl from Clueless. She’s considered a celebrity? Well now onto the show, she’s scared to death and not really up to it it seems but then her mindset changed. Seems like her circus stunt is a bungee routine. While practicing she broke her rib, forcing her to take a few weeks of practice off. Although the doctor said to take a few weeks off she’s practicing anyway which shows she really is there to win. Her bungee routine is then and she’s also in the air like the others. Her flips and other movements do seem off a bit, maybe its the rib but not sure. Compared to Rachel’s it seems somewhat less dangerous but more active as she’s flipping allover the place! Towards the end her routine got much better and apparently it was enough to impress the judges. They seemed to love it, apparently they didn’t see what I saw. The votes are in and she gets three eights, the highest so far.
Blu Cantrell is up and loves the circus, not realizing what she got herself into. It seems like she’s scared of heights and she’s been put on the Spanish Web. She’ll be spinning an a long rope…. up in the air. The teachers for the circus don’t seem to think she wants to be there but she says she is. I’m kind of worried about Blu as it seems she may not have the best chance at this so lets see how she does. Most of her routine seems to be focusing on the other acrobats performing around her. She finally gets in on the act, spinning while dangling from the he rope. So far she hasn’t done too much other then the three spins. Of course it seems like hard work but her routine just doesn’t compare to the others at all. The judges agree with me for once and one even does a split in the air. The judges seem to be the most entertaining part of Blu’s routine. Finally the scores are in and Blu gets a four, six and another four. Not too good, she’s as good as gone and she’s not happy calling it “bull crap” and getting into it with the judges. Joey pulled the plug pretty early so we didn’t get to hear the rest.
Christopher Knight aka Peter Brady is the next circus performer up. He’s nothing knew to reality television so we know he brings some entertainment. His stunt is the German Wheel. He’ll be strapped in the middle of a wheel and forced to spin around. In his first time practicing Chris breaks his arm, making him the second performer with a broken bone. Of course this doesn’t stop the show so Chris’ stunt is changed to a high wire. His teacher has never done the high wire either so they both have some learning to do. His partner for the stunt, Holly, must balance on his shoulders as has walks the high wire and this makes me nervous. So far he’s doing well but now in the middle of the rope he’s blindfolded, Adrianne looks on in fear. I wonder why she isn’t up there doing this but oh well. Chris makes it across the rope on his first try but ow its time to make it difficult. Holly is now joining him and its time to really see if he can pull it off. Although Chris isn’t on a harness they put Holly on one just for safety which was a smart move. A few shots of Adrianne shows how scary the stunt really is but Chris makes it across fairly easy and shows no hint of a broken arm. Although this was a fairly simple stunt it had my on the edge of my seat, I hope the judges agree. The judges aren’t saying good or bad but rather that he did well for his age. The one guy seemed excited but he seems excited about everything, of course it’s the British guy. With that the scores are in, a six, a seven and a seven. Not the best but still better then Blu.
Only one performer is left and that is someone unknown to me, Janet Evans. Apparently she won an Olympic Gold for swimming but I’ve never heard of her. Once again Janet is up in the air and even fell from her floating trapeze during practice. Her actual stunt now begins and her stunt is a duo trapeze. So far her act is going well as she’s keeping up with the actual trapeze artist. Dangling by one foot is pretty impressive and I have a feeling she may be getting some great praises from the judges. Her performance went really well and she had one of the best I think. The judge who was a trapeze artist said she did well so as did the other two judges. Although they said she was a bit clumsy they said she did very well and are even calling her the dark horse of the competition. The final scores of the night are in, an eight and two sevens. This means she isn’t the top spot but pretty far up there.
That ends the first night for the celebrity circus. Although the show had some lackluster performances it was pretty good. One thing they did do right though was using well known songs and music. That added a lot to the show for me as great music often makes a great show. So far I think Celebrity Circus is a good filler for now but if it was airing during a busy television season it wouldn’t fair as well. We’ll have to see if its still around for next week or if it suffers the fate of some other celebrity shows recently. If it does stay around I’ll be tuning in, especially if Rachel stays for awhile!
