Dan Wins The $500,000 On Big Brother 10

Reality No Comments

After 71 days of fun, drama, fights and twists, Big Brother 10 is now officially over with Dan claiming all 7 jury votes to win one of the best Big Brother seasons yet. The night started off with a well rounded recap of the entire summer. With Brian and his friends leaving first things looked bleak for Dan and Memphis, his two remaining friends, but when their alliance was born it ruled the entire game. Dan and Memphis worked everyone until the very end and that’s why that sat in the finals. Both played off of each other, keeping each other safe yet still playing for themselves. It all came down to the seven votes and the seven people they helped evict.

At the jury house everyone had an opinion on who they wanted to see. Libra wanted Jerry out but Renny didn’t even want to think of looking at him. Keesha wanted Memphis in the jury, for obvious reasons, while was very adamant about wanting Dan out. When Jerry walked through the door everyone was talking about him. Well rather bashing him. He didn’t catch the discussion though but most gave him a cold shoulder as they weren’t too thrilled he was back in their lives. All the girls on the jury had a very strong opinion on who should win. April battled for Memphis to win the money, simply because she hated that Dan got not only her but her boyfriend Ollie out as well. Keesha, Libra and Renny stuck to their guns for Dan and continually bashed Memphis. Renny said that Memphis didn’t play the game and she was in no way going to give him her vote. April basically said the same for Dan and continued on with her delusional self. Jerry seemed still upset with Dan but didn’t really give much of a reason. Michelle stayed rather quiet, other then telling Jerry about her trip with Dan. Ollie of course said hardly anything.

The Renegades Remember On Big Brother 10

Big Brother 10, CBS No Comments

On the special edition of Big Brother 10 some of the best moments from the season are showcased. Although only a few new scenes were chosen it was a nice way to end the season with a recap of all the good, and sometimes bad, memories. The show started off with Jerry being evicted and both Dan and Memphis celebrating. They’ve been planning for several weeks now to get to this point and were ecstatic to actually be in the finals. At one point they both agreed they were there because they controlled their emotions and didn’t get into any fights. That may just be the case.

When it came time to showcase some of the houseguests both Jerry and Renny received the most airtime. They were the comedic relief of the season. Jerry’s senior antics were the talk of many conversations in the house and with the first of the new footage we saw Jerry attempting to do a rap. Ollie told him to not dance when rapping, but Jerry didn’t listen. They also showed his fights with Memphis and others and both Renegades were shocked at how well he actually did. With Renny you never knew what you were going to get. I’m so glad they finally showed her impressions on the show as they were great on the feeds. I’m surprised they didn’t show her doing Keesha though as she was dead on. Of course they just had to show Renny’s famous antic from night one of being stuck in her room. It set off one of the better feuds on the show between Jessie that lasted the entire time both were in the house.

Big Brother 10 Fast Forwards With Double Eviction

Big Brother 10, CBS No Comments

What a crazy night in the Big Brother house! Following the first eviction an entire round of Big Brother was played and one more houseguests was bounced from the game. Let’s start where last ended though and that was the Power of Veto ceremony. Immediately following the ceremony, everyone gathered outside to “discuss” Dan’s deal breaking move. Ollie and Michelle were both very heated and once Dan being a plant was brought up, Dan bolted. He didn’t want to be there while the bomb exploded and it was probably a smart move. We saw Ollie’s words with both Keesha and Memphis as he tried to put the idea of Dan being a plant into their heads. As Ollie left the backyard to go “talk” with Dan, we heard something not said on the feeds but I’m sure CBS made that move on purpose as it wasn’t something they could really show and get away with.

Up in the HoH Ollie continued his Dan bashing but this time to his face. He told Dan how he embarrassed him in front of millions, six million to be exact. Nothing really exciting came from the talk though has Ollie left rather early. As the four in power (Dan, Memphis, Keesha and Renny) gathered in the HoH we watched as they watched Ollie destroy the house. After throwing a lollipop against the wall, breaking a lamp outside and smashing the weight lifting bar to the ground, Ollie was called into the Diary Room but we really never found out what took place. He was probably revolting against Big Brother for Dan being a “plant” but I’m sure he’ll find out tonight that isn’t true. Following that little clip of Ollie trashing the house we saw one last ditch effort of Michelle trying to stay. She went up to Dan to discuss his move to put her up and it didn’t go so well. Dan told her it was Ollie’s fault for banking on her life in the game and that left us with one final rant from Michelle in the Diary Room. Too bad we won’t get those anymore as they were enteratining.

When the show returned to its LIVE status Julie revealed to the house that it was going to be a double eviction. She coined it “Big Brother Fast Forward” and everyone was kind of freaking out. Keesha took it the worst as she could hardly cast her vote while Ollie seemed excited for it. Since it was fast forward we got right into the voting for either Jerry or Michelle. After the four voters casted who they wanted to be evicted, Michelle was the first to walk out of the house with a vote of 3 to 1. She talked to Julie briefly and Julie revealed to her that Dan was a plant. I’m surprised that Big Brother did this as he kind of is a “plant” in a sense when it comes to his week of America’s Player. Michelle had some good moments during the interview and the crowd seemed to love her, laughing many times.

With Michelle gone it was immediately time for the next HoH. It was based on the voting America did on the Newspaper headlines. Seven headlines were given and the houseguests had to say which person America chose out of a possible two. It was a tight race and very intense with Keesha and Jerry tieing with four votes correct each. This put them in a tie breaker, not once but twice. In the end Keesha won the fast forward HoH and had to immediately put two people up on the block. It was an obvious choice as Ollie and Jerry became the next two nominated.

After a LONG commercial break the Power of Veto competition was played out live. What the houseguests had to do was run down a long run, jumping over haystacks. After doing that they had to dig through hay, searching for two Power of Veto disks. The first person to find both would win the Power of Veto and after a quick few minutes Dan won his second Power of Veto, keeping the power from the other side. In the live PoV ceremony Dan chose to NOT use the Power of Veto, forcing either Ollie or Jerry out of the game.

The second vote was up next and in a vote of 3 to 0, Ollie walked out of the house. He quickly bolted out of the house in the “fastest exit ever” and talked to Julie for a bit. He told her that April will be in his life for a long time and also he isn’t as mad at Dan as he seemed. It all came down to retribution from turning on Brian which really never came up until Ollie was evicted. After all that Julie revealed that the finale would be on Tuesday September 16th. Should be an interesting one but until then we still have five players left and many more days to go in the season of Big Brother 10.

Dan Breaks His Deal On Big Brother 10

Big Brother 10, CBS No Comments

In the beginning of the game it seemed like Dan would be a very weak player but he surely was just portraying that. After tonight it shows that Dan is one of the strongest players in the game but still playing in a behind the scenes way. Following the nomination ceremony Memphis immediately went to talk to Dan. Although the two are aligned, Memphis was not happy that Dan put him up on the block and after Memphis learned the third part of the deal things got even more intense.

Later Dan talked to both Keesha and Renny, asking them if he made a mistake. Keesha was on the negative, saying it probably won’t work out like he wanted to. Renny was siding with Dan since he was going with Ollie’s deal. She did however get a bit upset when they discussed who would go up after the veto was played. Renny got a bit snippy with Dan, thinking she would go on the block. It was odd to see Renny turn this way but humorous at the same time. On the other side of the house were Ollie, Jerry and Michelle. Although Michelle already knew the PoV clause of the deal, Ollie filled Jerry in but he didn’t buy it. Dan screwed Jerry over before and he didn’t doubt that he would do it again. Ollie was still in high hopes thing and on his “I’m the HoH” trip. He’ll learn soon though, oh will he ever.

When the houseguests were all called into the living room they knew something was up. Everyone got emotional when the chance for a call from home was revealed but Michelle took it hardest. She cried before the winner was even announced since she misses her mother. She’s talked about her mom several times on the feeds so I can understand her pain but I doubt she realizes what America thinks about her. The next morning a phone suddenly appeared in the house and began to ring. Michelle was the one to first hear it and picked it up. Jerry’s daughter was on the other end and it became obvious that Jerry won America’s vote. He talked to his grandson and wife, who had parkinsons. It was nice to see the two talk and touching as well. One of the better calls from home and Jerry deserved it for sure.

Following the call from home, Dan was talking to both Memphis and Keesha in his HoH. They realized how important it was to win the PoV since Dan wanted to go against his word and put Michelle on the block. The three realized she was a powerful force in the house and wanted her gone. When the Power of Veto players were chosen, everyone but Ollie would be playing. He was a bit pissed that he couldn’t control his “own fate’ but since he’s HoH he’s safe anyway right? Oh yeah, he ISN’T the HoH although he may think he is. Stupid, stupid Ollie.

For the Power of Veto competition the six players would play in two heats. The winner from each heat would face off in one last round to see who would win the Power of Veto. In order to win the players had to fly across a gap in “Planet Veto” to grab several puzzle pieces. The first to get their puzzle together would win the heat. In the first go around, Dan, Keesha and Michelle faced off. It was really only up to Michelle or Keesha to win as Dan was, once again, throwing it. Although Michelle was good at gliding, Keesha’s puzzle skills gave her the win for the first heat. In round two Memphis, Jerry and Renny were gliding for a win. Since Renny was only in it to have fun, Jerry and Memphis competed to win the power. Memphis ended up getting his puzzle together quicker, pitting him against Keesha for the Power of Veto. Since both were going ot use it if they won it wasn’t that pivotal to rush. In the end Memphis put the new puzzle together faster, giving him the Power of Veto to take himself off the block.

Since everyone knew Memphis would remove himself, Dan had to put someone else up on the block. He discussed that Michelle would go up with his alliance and they all agreed. When he got to talk to Ollie he said that the deal was still on but wanted to play a game at the veto meaning. He asked Ollie to say to the house that Renny would go on the block if he could pick the replacement. Ollie was a bit confused since he wanted Keesha on the block. He did agree though as did Michelle to say Keesha and Keesha to say Michelle. Renny was the only one to not want to tell Ollie that he wanted him up since he felt it was a cop out for Dan. She wanted Dan to put the target on himself and it was smart of Renny to do that. In the end she agreed to do that and all four did just that at the meeting. Once Memphis took himself off it was up to Dan to put Michelle on the block. After his “game” he told Ollie he lost his bet and placed Michelle next to Jerry. We didn’t get to see too much of Ollie’s temper tantrum but hopefully on Thursday more will come!

Dan Makes A Deal With The Devil On Big Brother 10

Big Brother 10, CBS No Comments

Could Dan be the worst player of Big Brother history yet still be one of the best? His methods this season have been odd and tonight we saw just how crazy America’s Ex-Player can be. Following April’s eviction on Thursday the remaining players jumped onto a vine and started swinging for the Head of Household. After being whipped into a padded wall, several of the players were knocked out of the challenge leaving two to make the strangest deal in Big Brother history. After Jerry fell down only five remained and an all out water balloon fight was held. Michelle and Dan took the brunt of the hits but it hindered neither performance. Only an hour after Jerry’s drop, Keesha fell followed a few hours later by Michelle whose leg got caught in the netting. That left three guys in an endurance competition, odd isn’t it. Since ladies have ruled the endurance of Big Brother past it was different to see Memphis, Dan and Ollie still up on the vines.

After Memphis’ body gave out that left Dan and Ollie still hanging around. This left the two to battle it with their words and create a deal to decide who would win the HoH. Dan started up the conversation as he wanted to see his girlfriend Monica. Ollie wouldn’t give up with only that so Dan added a lot to the mix. After a few minutes passed Dan offered Ollie all the power of the HoH without the title. If Ollie dropped, giving Dan the win, Ollie would be able to keep Michelle safe, make one of Dan’s nominations and choose who goes up with the Power of Veto is used. Basically all Dan got to decide was one of the nominees and he got to see his girlfriend. It was a stupid move for Dan to make but it was all in the scheme of his ‘I’m a weak player’ strategy.

Following Dan’s drop from the vine his alliance started talking and realized a deal was made. It was making Memphis, Renny and Keesha very paranoid as they knew that Ollie was at least safe. Keesha also thought she heard Dan say that another person could be safe and also a little about Ollie making one nomination. They weren’t for certain but just the idea of a crazy deal made them worry. Ollie wasn’t too upset though as he told his deal to Michelle. She was excited as well and the two became a strong pair at that very moment.

Up in Dan’s Head of Household room it was all about Monica. Not only did he get a letter from her but she also sent him a shirt that says ‘Taken’. During the time Dan read his letter from Monica he gave his housemates a show. He says his tears and emotions during the letter read were all for show and at least Renny fell for it. When everyone left the room Dan let us know that it was all about the game now even though it was nice to see his family and girlfriend. One interesting thing to mention here is something from the live feeds. After seeing Monica’s picture, Ollie mentioned that he saw her during casting. Rumor has it that Monica was supposed to be in the house with Dan but she pulled out. If that IS the case the others may hold that against Dan, even if she isn’t in the house now.

A little bit later Ollie went up to Dan to talk about the deal. Dan is one of those players that talks to “us” through the camera and it’s actually interesting as we get live input to his thoughts as they happen. When Ollie walked in it was all about who was going up on the block and his choice was Memphis. Dan didn’t try to sway him from that and it was time for him to reveal his deal with his one true alliance: Memphis. When Memphis heard that Dan might be putting him up he wasn’t too happy. He said that he would never put Dan on the block but Dan realized he had to secure the votes before actually going through with it. After calling both Keesha and Renny into his HoH room, Dan created another alliance with them. He wanted to include Memphis but Renny backed down for a bit until Dan said they would only use Memphis for now. After that Renny agreed to the deal and a new final three alliance was born. The name is still pending as of now.

Before the nominations Memphis took one last stab at keeping himself off the block. He didn’t understand why his final two ally would go against him and nominate him but Dan used it as a way to hide their alliance. It’s a well known fact that the two are aligned so I don’t get Dan’s thinking but if it calms Memphis down I guess it’s good for now. Up in the HoH Dan once again talked out loud about his ideas. He went back and forth on keeping and breaking his deal with Ollie. He knew that nominated Memphis was a huge risk but he went with it anyway, keeping his deal with Ollie…. for now. With Jerry and Memphis nominated it’s going to be an interesting Power of Veto as both have proven that they can win it. How will the Power of Veto change the game and will Dan stick to his word if it is used? Tune in Tuesday to find it! It’s going to be good!

It’s All About The Money On Big Brother 10

Big Brother 10, CBS No Comments

With the only showmance of the season gone Big Brother turns to its home stretch. Following the eye opening Power of Veto ceremony, the house was up in confusion about who offered Dan the money. April was upset that he would tell everyone while Jerry was upset that April would stoop that low for a vote. Michelle was really the only one wondering who, between April and Jerry, did the offering and when she confronted Dan he simply said it wasn’t meant that way. I don’t think they ever got to the bottom of the money question but the bribing sure didn’t end there.

When Ollie and April realized that they may be spending their last week together they went into game mode. Both targeted Michelle to start but she quickly shot them down, saying she would vote however the house voted. This led them, once again, to Dan. Ollie started off by saying how he would have two people not putting him on the block if they won HoH compared to Jerry who was only one person. April then got to Dan and let him know she would do anything for his vote, even throwing him a few gold bars. It’s a shame she would use the money to gain a vote from Dan after he basically revealed that she did earlier. Dan hinted that his mind was still not made up which seemed to set April at ease a bit atleast.

For the nights interview from home we finally got to see how April and Ollie’s family feel about their “showmance”. During the segment we saw the two discussing moving in together, which April says was a huge joke, but who knows. Ollie’s parents were up first and talked highly of their son. I still wonder if they REALLY know what’s going on in the house. Although his father didn’t know what a showmance was he said it was ok as long as it was real. April’s sister was happy for the couple as well, comparing Ollie to herself. The only time she disagreed with the relationship was when Ollie “fake” proposed. Her eyes lit up so fast you could hardly tell the difference between her and her twin April!

During the time Julie took to talk to the houseguests little was given out. The questions weren’t that hard hitting this week which was kind of disappointing. Showing a video to the houseguests of Ollie’s fear of birds was the only good thing that came from the segment which led into a very long Renny rant. Up in the HoH Julie hardly got any words in as Renny blabbed about her different sides and her mother and father. She also went on how she is against Memphis and always was. It was about 10 minutes and I’m sure the producers were freaking out, hoping she would stop to give them a break to go to the votes!

When Renny finally shut up long enough for the votes it was that time. April was evicted as suspected and walked out the door happy with only Ollie’s vote not cast for her. Outside she let Julie know that her and Ollie’s relationship is more of a friend them “romance” but they sure didn’t act that way in the house. The audience laughed when Julie mentioned starting a family and I’m sure April realized then that everyone knew her and Ollie’s not so hidden secret. April’s interview outside was actually one of the better ones this season and led us into probably one of the most entertaining endurance HoHs ever devised.

Out in the backyard all six players for the HoH sat on a round disk. They were themed as vines and when it started to rain it seemed that would be it. BUT there is SO much more to this challenge that makes it one of the most fun to watch. Every so often the vines swing back and actually swing the houseguests into a wall! It actually seems kind of fun but after awhile I assume there will be some brusing. If only Renny was in the mix it would be so much more fun to watch but atleast we have Jerry to make fun of! He’s already starting the “do you know how old I am” complaints!
