I Love Money, VH1
1 Comment
After last weeks crazy I Love Money it was time to jump right into the next challenge. Both teams had to shift team captains and Entertainer and Boston were chosen for their teams. What they had to do was choose pairs for the challenge which was an eating challenge. Well at least they THOUGHT they were going to be eating things. What they actually had to do was kiss. Ultimately they had a “kiss off” where the last couple kissing would win. For the gold team the teams were as follows: Rodeo/Hoopz, Heather/12 Pack, Toastee/Pumpkin with Entertainer being by himself. Boston took a different approach and put the teams based on who would and wouldn’t eat the food. Heat/Destiny, Meagan/White Boy, Brandi/Real and Boston/Chance were the teams for the green team.
Following the little announcement that it would be a kiss off everyone laughed that Boston and Chance would have to be kissing. Rodeo did her famous laugh along with everyone else who just freaked out about it. The host then gave the rules and basically whoever kept their lips locked the longest won for their team. One small rule was then given, everyone HAD to be kissing when the time started which means that if Boston/Chance didn’t even start kissing the whole team would lose. Heather opened her mouth to tell Chance that he’d be on TV forever kissing Boston, she even through in a “Best Week Ever” plug. Chance didn’t like this too much but the countdown started to begin. It all came down to Chance and Boston and Chance wouldn’t go through with it, losing the entire challenge for the green team.
Chance then went off on Heat who threw a towel on him. It kind of ruined the Gold Teams win but of course its a VH1 show so there HAS to be a major fight sometime. Destiney then got into the fight for sticking up for Heat. Chance didn’t like it too much as they went off on each other for a bit. Since Heat didn’t defend Destiney back the crying then continued and Entertainer jumped in to grab his “girl”. In the end Entertainer was given the power to kick one of the green team members out. It was a quick challenge but Entertainer sure took the leadership role to his head.
When the group got back to the house Destiney told Heat how she felt that he didn’t stick up for her. Entertainer then moved in once again and told Destiney how he stood up for her when Heat didn’t. The two then spent some time in the pool and apparently they are “dating” now. Another breakup/romance then began between 12 Pack and Meagan. He told her that he’d keep her safe, along with Boston and Meagan leaned in for a kiss knowing that it would screw up the Gold Team. While Heather was floating in the pool 12 Pack decided to flirt with Meagan. Heather and Meagan then had a chat about the flirting and Heather let everyone know what he’s been doing. Well all the girls at least. When she finally confronted 12 Pack, Entertainer was sitting there and realized that Megan has to go. He felt that she was a trouble starter and if she’s in the box she’ll probably end up going.
The next morning the Green Team entered the vault for the first time to enter three teams into the lock box. The three in the box would be up for elimination and it was surely going to be a crazy one. It was then up for a vote and everyone decided that Chance, Real and White Boy should go into the box. The three guys didn’t agree with that and wanted two girls and Heat in the box. In the end nobodies name were in the box after the fifteen minutes so the Entertainer got to choose three names to go in for their team. In the end the Gold Team chose Megan, Heat and Mr. Boston.
Following the Vault meeting Entertainer was sent on a Power Outing with the three he put into the box. For their outing they went out to heat and out for some wine tasting. None of the three really talked that much but Boston tried to play a Toastee. He pretended to act sick and “threw up”. He puked the entire time they were at the eatery and Megan cracked up the entire time. It was kind of obvious that he was faking although he was blowing chunks. Megan really didn’t take the chance to talk though as she knew that Entertainer wanted to send her home. She told him that she knew he didn’t like her and he told her he’d love to send her home.
Back at the house White Boy was trying to send Heat home as he told Entertainer that Destiney still had feelings for Heat. When it came time for the elimination to occur the three stood in front of the Entertainer who had all the power. Before he chose who went Entertainer chose Boston to stay since he looked like a wreck at the power outing. Both Heat and Megan felt they were leaving but Heat was the one who was sent packing since he was dating Destiney and now he is so he had to go. Something like that, I think. Although Entertainer saved Megan he still doesn’t like her. Um maybe he doesn’t but she’s sure like able across the TV!

Fox Reality is looking for a new season’s cast of Solitary 3.0. The show takes several people and isolates them not only from the outside world but from each other. Each player is put in their own separate “pod” and cannot interact with anyone or anything besides a computerized voice named Val. The winner is determined by the last person remaining in the pod who doesn’t give up during one of the challenges or quits. It’s an interesting show where your only competition is yourself as you have to battle mentally and physically with the idea of being isolated and basically tortured. If you think you have what it takes to take on Solitary 3.0 and Val for the $50,000 grand prize then apply below.

After a crazy round of Victoria, the biggest Mole suspect leaving, it’s time for another sabotage as the Mole returns. It seems Craig isn’t feeling any better as he’s freezing even after having four layers of clothing on. Nicole filled us in once again about the execution and figures that whoever she thinks is the mole ends up leaving. Um is that because SHE is the mole? Paul on the other hand continued his streak to becoming a reality villain as he wants to make everyone go even more crazy.
The challenge was then started and titled “All For One”. It was rather interesting as it forced them all to trust each other to either grab a key or an exemption. All of the players were chained together and the only way for one person to move was for everyone else to move back, giving them the slack to move. The object of the mission was for everyone to be released from the chains by dawn. The catch was every ten minutes a gate opened with either a key or an exemption to be taken. One at a time they could go up to the game but had to be given the chance to.
At first it seemed like nobody would really budge, but Craig was having more problems being out in the cold. Jon told them that once they left the chain they would join him for a warm meal and a warm bed. If someone took the exemption, the rest of the players would stay out in the cold for the rest of the night and no money would be won. If they completed the mission with nobody taking the exemption then $25,000 would be added to the pot. It was a huge reward but it was going to be a struggle to get everyone on board.
Back to Craig, who was obviously going to be suffering out in the cold. Everyone knew he was having problems and agreed to let him go. The next person to ask to leave was Kristen, who was also having problems with the cold. Clay didn’t want to give it to her at first, but she reminded him that he owed her for his exemption last round. She, like Craig, walked up to the cage and grabbed the key.
The next few choices were interesting and seemed tough for the remaining players. Nobody really wanted to go next and nobody wanted anyone else to go next. Mark at one point even mentioned he didn’t trust himself which put Clay off a bit. He’s working with Mark and felt their coalition unravel. Ultimately they let Paul go after swearing on his daughter he wouldn’t take the exemption. He was true to his word and walked into the warm cabin with the others. There they discussed who would go next and most of them thought Mark would take the exemption or be the one to screw everyone over.
Back at the gate we had Alex, Clay, Mark and Nicole. It was obvious that Mark wouldn’t budge and either would Alex. Although he wanted to wait it out a bit longer Clay let things in the hands of fate and decided to go for the key. Nicole ended up being next and being somewhat nice didn’t take the exemption and kept the money. This left Alex and Mark standing at the gate. Alex knew Mark wouldn’t budge still and ended up leaving him there alone. Back at the cabin everyone believed Mark would take the exemption as he was still mad about the journals. In the end Mark decided to keep the exemption in the gate, letting everyone breath a sigh of relief and placing a large $25,000 in the pot. Jon also gave them something else, new journals.
The next day the trip moved from the Andes to Mendoza which seemed a huge lift for Craig since he was now in warmer weather. It also caused some drama along the way as a fight ensued between Clay and Paul as they drove along. I’m not exactly sure what sparked the fight but both were calling each other hypocrites and other names I would never mention here. In the end a lemon was thrown and people were swapped around in the vans. As Van 2, driven by Alex, drove along they sang their new song “Paul Free” as Paul still continued to bash Clay in the van in front. I’m not exactly sure yet if Paul is playing a moles game or if he’s seriously that insane.
At the first mission in Mendoza everyone was told they would be breaking into three teams of two. That was odd as there were seven players, but of course there was a twist. Since he was the first person to say “exemption” at breakfast that morning, Craig was given power for the mission. The goal of the mission was for the teams to make it 5 miles to a famous statue in Mendoza, for each team that made it $10,000 would be added to the pot. If none of the teams made it, Craig would get an exemption.
In the beginning the challenge was very fun and humorous. Craig got to decide how to split up the teams and their form of transportation in traveling the 5 miles. For Alex and Mark he chose a conquistador suit, donkey and scuba outfit. Kristen and Clay got a unicycle and stilts while Craig saved the best for Nicole and Paul. A llama suit laid in front of them as Nicole was told she’d be the head of the llama while Paul would be, well, the ass of the llama. It was a very fitting choice and was meant to be funny but none of them took it that way.
As Craig and Jon headed to the finish line, Mark rallied everyone against the mission. He told them that he wouldn’t stoop to that level and everyone followed suit. It seemed like Alex and Clay wanted to do the mission, but Kristen and Nicole quickly chimed in that there was no way they could do their assignments. Paul was just being Paul and decided to go crazy about it, complaining and what not. So they decided as a “group” (even though it was Mark who decided) to drive the vans to the finish. When they got there they obviously failed and handed over an exemption to Craig.
That night at their execution dinner, Craig apologized to everyone since he felt what he did was wrong since they all treated him nicely when he was sick. They didn’t really talk about it much but you could tell Craig was glad to be safe while everyone hated him for it. As the players took the quizzes it seemed each had a different strategy. While some made more general decisions, Kristen decided to choose one person and answer each question for them. Although she though it was an advantage, Kristen ended up being the next victim of the mole as she got the dreaded red thumbprint. Next week it seems Paul and Nicole are once again at odds and we get a recap episode. See you there!

Last weeks Mole left us with some things to ponder. Like would Nicole really kill Paul in sleep and could she REALLY do it without leaving DNA evidence? The answer to both these questions is no as Paul was still alive come the next day. Good thing Nicole didn’t go through with it though since now we get to see her and Paul continue their feud! The next morning everyone, including Paul, awoke and Nicole’s tirade was the talk of the town. Paul wanted to use it to his advantage and Ali ate it up. She finally spoke for once and let us know that her hatred for Nicole is growing along with Paul’s. It seems the cliques are starting early and we learn about a new coalition that’s apparently been on for the past two episodes. Mark, Bobby and Clay are now in a coalition to share information on who they think is the Mole. Of course it won’t last long though as we soon find out.
In the first mission the players are forced into two sides, the “Can’t Trust” and “Blindly Trusts” groups. They then had to pair up with someone from the opposite side, creating five teams of two. The mission was fairly simple yet risky. Each pair would luge down a metal track with the person in the front blindfolded. The person in the back had to yell out pictures of fruit that they saw and the person who was blindfolded would then have to pick out those fruits in put them in order. For each fruit they got right, $2,000 would be put into the pot. They had strict orders to not talk after they passed the finish line but of course that wasn’t the case for some.
First up was Bobby and Clay. Bobby was the one yelling out the fruit and seemed confusing as he didn’t yell out the colors right away. They got 5/7 right but talked after crossing the finish line so they got no money. Next up was Ali and Paul who got a legitimate 5/7 for the team. Victoria and Craig broke the “no talking” rule as well and lost $14,000 as they got all seven fruits right but broke the rules. Kristen and Mark were the first to get all seven right and actually keep the money while Alex and Nicole had an interesting ride. She yelled out “green apple” twice which put Alex off by one for the fruit selection. This gained them one point and made everyone wonder how she could screw up so badly.
That night the coalition between Bobby and Clay/Mark ended. Clay and Mark now believe Bobby to be the mole and want nothing to do with him. Although they say they will talk to him if he comes to them, they won’t go to him for anymore information. The day the crew heads out for a nice spa retreat. Of course they all thought something was up but it seemed legit… at first. They spent some time in the pool and hot tub and then some time getting massages. Of course John showed up to screw things up and start their next mission.
Once again the players were split up. Kristen, Victoria and Ali made up one team, Bobby, Craig and Nicole another and the last team consisted of Bobby and Alex. Once Mark and Clay found out what the challenge was they dropped out because they had too much “pride” apparently. John then filled them in on the mission, they had to walk around Chile in their underwear looking for a shirt, tie and pants for the guys and a two piece shirt and skirt/pants for the girls. Alex and Paul had the easiest time once again thanks to Alex’s knowledge of Spanish. They quickly found shirts from cab drivers and pants from a few Americans. Kristen, Victoria and Ali had the hardest time it seemed. They couldn’t’ find any clothing for the longest time and Ali even almost quit. This put suspicion on both Kristen and Victoria but they kept moving and eventually got lucky enough to get fully dressed for dinner. In the third and find team was Nicole, who found her clothing faster then anyone, and Bobby and Craig. The two guys had a hard time finding clothing but once they want the laundry mat with their real clothing they were all set. Since 8/9 people made it to dinner they claimed an extra $40,000 for the pot putting them at $129,000 for the entire game.
That night at the pre-quiz dinner things got pretty heated. It all started when Paul said that Mark was playing the game hardcore and the two then went at it for a bit. Bobby, Craig and Nicole then barged in and Nicole’s statement from the last execution came into play. Of course she played the ‘nice’ card, which angered Paul a bit, but he had different plans. He wanted to get everyone heated before the quiz in hopes it would screw up their chances for a green thumb.
At the execution something interesting happened. John offered everyone $20,000 to leave the game right then and there, nobody bit the bait. Three people were then shown to be safe and another $10,000 added to the bribe. Ali was the first to take the $30,000 and walked out of the game. Funny thing is they all thought they were safe since she left and Bobby even said he wouldn’t take the money. John then came back and let them all know someone else was still going home. Bobby was then shown to get the red thumb and his words came back to bite him. Did Paul take out his biggest enemy by causing a ruckus at dinner? Who knows but something got to Bobby. That takes two more out of the game and puts us at the final eight. Next week it seems the drama continues as Mark’s crazy side is revealed, probably thanks to Paul.

If you’ve been following any of the VH1 shows for awhile you probably realized that the celebrities on the show don’t always seem to be there for love but at least say they are. Recently this has been seen in Flavor of Love 3 where Flavor Flav didn’t seem interested in any of the women and ended up proposing to none of the 65 girls who fought on the show for his affection. He did though propose on the shows third season finale to Liz, the mother of his latest child and a women who NEVER appeared on any of his shows. To make things even more worse, he says that he knew he was in love with her and wanted to marry her DURING the second season! This means that Flavor Flav knew he wasn’t going to fall in love with any of the girls on the show, although he said he did and did in fact do it for either the money or he was forced it. I’ve lost some respect for the VH1 shows. Of course I’ll probably still watch them but the thought will now always be in my mind.
Now that I got that little bit of info out it’s time for a rant. I LOVE the VH1 reality shows because they are so funny and generally have tons of drama. I also felt that there was at least a touch of realness in the show since at least sometimes it does seem there is love felt between the “celebrity” and at least one contestant. But now that Flavor Flav basically said his show was well all for show that kind of makes me wonder. Were Rock of Love and I Love NY the same as they were forced into it? I mean NY SAYS she’s in love with Tailor Made but is she contracted for a third season so that will have to change? Does Brett Michael’s really care about the girls that are there as he cries while some of them leave or is he crying happy tears knowing he’ll be raking in the cash? It also makes me wonder who in their right mind would even say they would be a “celebrity” on one of these shows now? It’s obvious that people will wonder if the show is real or not since at least two season of Flavor of Love were pronounced pointless by Flavor Flav himself! So yeah I ranted a bit but I think everyone should know what’s going on with VH1. It’s obvious they are in it for the ratings but seriously do they have to keep the people they have when it’s obvious they aren’t there for love?
Leave a comment and discuss with fellow fans!
