ABC, The Mole
No Comments
This may be the last season of the Mole but at least it was entertaining and brought a few shocks along the way. After a few short clips from past player, well mostly useless Bobby, the winner of the $420,000 was crowned. Mark become the fifth winner of the Mole and he deserves every bit of it. He played the best game, in my eyes, as he took countless notes and didn’t get caught up in too much drama.
When Mark was revealed as the winner it was then time to reveal who was the Mole. With it being between Craig and Nicole I was still somewhat stumped but hoped it was my pick who I mentioned last week: Craig. In fact the Mole WAS Craig and I was glad to finally have been right! Several players knew it was Craig towards the end, Paul and Nicole actually tied in the second to last execution. Since both knew Craig was the Mole, Paul’s slower time of taking the quiz sent him packing and put Nicole into the finals.
Some other interesting things from the finale were how many times Mark almost went home. He didn’t start using Craig as the Mole until the final quiz where he got 17/20 questions right over Nicole’s 13/20. Mark actually would have gone home if Victoria didn’t miss click so it shows just how important the quizzes and timing are in the game of the Mole. Some other interesting things were about Craig and how he pulled off some sabotages. In most of the challenge he threw some type of wrench into the mix. For instance he purposely talked after the lugeing mission and purposely dropped the bag in the first. Although he did have to sabotage a lot, Craig’s trip to the hospital for hypothermia was real. That probably scared the producers a bit, wonder what would have happened had their Mole had to drop out of the game?
Overall the Mole, which may never air a new season, was a great summer show that brought back the original format. It didn’t go over in the ratings as well as the first two did but I loved it and I think the die hard fans did as well. It was nice to see a return, if he comes back again I’ll surely watch and hope its as good as this season was!
Read the rest and discuss with fellow fans!

Paradise Hotel 2, Reunion
3 Comments
After watching the Paradise Hotel 2 reunion I can honestly say that I know hardly anything more about the show then before watching the reunion. Only a few interesting things came from the gathering of the past hotel guests so without further adieu here is the Paradise Hotel 2 reunion in a nut shell:
- Mike & Tanya are not dating but still “crushing”
- Zack and Steph are not dating (Thank you Missy for the info!)
- TD and Lauren still hate each other
- Krista is still a virgin
- Everyone else who fought basically made up
- Krista, Mike and Chris were voted most likely to win if played again

CBS, Survivor Micronesia

With a merge approaching it was time to return to Micronesia. We first returned to Malakal beach where Ami was just voted out. Erik was sure happy about it, as he should have been, and hoped a merge was approaching. That really is the only thing I think that would keep him in the game since well, he would surely have been the next voted out. The next morning Cirie announced to the foursome that it was time for a merge. They were told to quickly pack their belongings and head out to a new location. Erik was obviously excited as was Amanda. She was dieing to see Parvati and reunite the ‘love square’.
Over at Arai they all thought Erik would surely be the one out. I mean he WAS the sole fan left on the tribe so it was 99% clear that he would go. Eliza was the only one they showed commenting on the other sides tribal and she wanted Ami to stay. I don’t think she had any clue that Ami would go and was planning on joining back up with her and the fans come merge. She had no idea that her worst nightmare was about to hit her as the two invisible girls, Natalie and Alexis, announced the merge to the rest.
When the two tribes met at their “new location” they quickly reconnected. Parvati and Amanda clung to each other while the fans flocked to Erik. Eliza and Jason kind of just stood around and it was obvious they were on the outs. With Ami not there Eliza wasn’t to happy. She had no clue why she went and let us know she was basically screwed. Her plan was not going to work, since her main friend and alliance was gone, and Eliza knew she had little time left in the game.
As the tribes started to feast they quickly learned they wouldn’t be staying at their current location. They had decide which beach to go to and everyone decided Malakal would be the spot. The fans tribe was crap, not sure why they put them there to begin with, so Malakal was the obvious choice. A few interesting things went down at the feast. One was James eating a bat. Seriously, why? I mean there is no reason to even try them when you have so much great stuff there to choose from. Of course it was James so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. The other thing was Erik’s tribe name. He told everyone that in Micronesia good translates to “Dabu”. They all believed the kid so I guess that shows how smart the others are as well.
When everyone got back to the beach everything seemed to switch to the girls. Eliza tried to get out of Parvati what was going on with the Favorites alliance and she told her that it was longer happening it seems. Eliza didn’t like that too much but Parvati had other news to break. She’s been making deals dealing with Amanda for awhile now. She finally told Amanda what of a mess “they” are in and Amanda didn’t like that to much. She can’t seem to stand Alexis, since she’s stealing Ozzy away, and wants her gone. Too bad though since Parvati has put her in an alliance with Alexis who oddly has found her time on the show. Jason, on the other hand, continues to dominate the screen for some reason. Maybe it’s his cockiness but for some reason I liked him this episode since he wanted to help Eliza. He promised her he’d give her the hidden stick if he won the individual immunity. Little did she know it was just a hidden stick and not a hidden idol.
The immunity challenge was a copy from the first Palau but at least it was a good one. I was wondering when they’d be doing this one again and was glad to see it back! What they had to do was stand under a great which was in the water. As the tide rose it became harder and harder as they had to keep trying to breath through the great. All the girls dropped out first and then Erik. James was next to go after a long wait and it was then down to the two fish boys: Ozzy and Jason. Both had a similar strategy, to breath through their hands. Ozzy, who was my bet to win, struggled towards the end and gave the win to Jason. Of course he had to ruin it by saying he “dominated the entire challenge”. It wasn’t a challenge anyone COULD dominate in but I was happy that he beat the once unbeatable Ozzy. Hopefully it knocks him down a bit and I’ll forgive the fact, this time, it was at the cost of listening to Jason say he ‘dominated’ for about the millionth time.
Back at camp things were not looking good for Eliza. Parvati basically turned everyone against her so it was pretty much set she would go. But wait! We have the hidden stick! Jason quickly whipped it out and gave it to Eliza, making one of the BEST moment of Survivor in a long time. She let him have it, telling him it wasn’t an idol and nothing but a stick. Of course he didn’t believe it and she decided to play it anyway. I guess she had nothing to lose. Amanda, on the other hand, made a move to get Alexis out for stealing her man away. Cirie went with it and I think her and Amanda will be very tight from here on out.
At Tribal Council things went a little insane. Alexis out shined everyone by giving Jeff fodder for further questions. Alexis answer to what makes someone a threat basically explained herself and allowed Cirie to call her the “triple threat”. It’s obvious Alexis and Amanda will have it out sometime and hopefully sooner then later. Eliza was the next to be attacked by the one and only Parvati. She told Eliza that everyone basically hates her and that she has played a horrible game. Eliza seemed to agree but then again she thought she had the idol. When the votes were all in Eliza decided to hand Jeff the stick. He let them know the rules of the idol and in the end confirmed what we knew, it was only a stick. Eliza then took the opportunity to let everyone know it was Jason who found it and that Ozzy hid it, meaning he has the original. Ozzy then finally fessed up to it, making Eliza’s departure to have some meaning. She was in fact then voted out, with only Jason and herself voting for Ozzy. Next week it seems Cirie turns the pot again by suggesting Ozzy and the idol get the boot. Will it happen? I’ll believe it when I see it.

Big Brother 9, CBS

Do I really have to tell you whose been evicted from Big Brother 9? I’m sure everyone knows already but James has been evicted, for the second time, from the Big Brother house. The start of the show tried to make its seem otherwise though. James knew he was probably going but decided to pull a Chelsia and start drama before he leaves. The only person he really targeted was Natalie, go figure, and let everyone how big of a snake she is. Oh he also said she was getting fat as well. She kind of helped him along with he snake bit though by telling the girls she was with them. Then going directly to Adam and Ryan and telling them that the girls were after the boys. It’s kind of funny how editing works. I know Natalie has been doing this the entire season but they really tried to drive the point home.
James wasn’t done yet and tried to sway both Ryan and Sheila to keep him in the game. Ryan seemed to by into it at first but would only do so if he had Sheila voting with him 100%. James then quickly ran to Sheila and let her know he’s the only one who could take out Natalie. She seemed to by it as well and wanted to shake up the game for her 46th birthday. But before she could make a decision we learn that Sheila is closer with Adam then everyone thinks. She let Adam know that Natalie was playing everyone but he isn’t trusting her yet. He let us know in the DR that he wasn’t sure who was telling the truth but we shall see who he trusts this week I’m sure.
Our “interview from home” package this week focused on Sharon. We finally got to meet her Marine family and they let us know some interesting things. It seems like her family is very religious and very “proper” and fits Sharon well. They also let us know about Sharon’s very bad crash she was in last year and how that changed her view on religion. I always find it funny that the people who are religious in home aren’t the crazy religious people in the house. That is no different this season as Sharon isn’t part of “Team Christ”, the Bible loving alliance who are all in the final four.
Before we could get to the eviction it was time for a peek into the jury house. Matty was all alone for awhile so he didn’t seem too upset when Chelsia ran through the door. She was happy to seem him as well but now “that” kind of happy. It seems like they are pretty close to the actual BB house this year as they seemed to be wearing the same clothing when they were evicted. Josh walked through the door next. Matt was happy for that while Chelsia was somewhat angry. Matty was glad one of his “group’ got the HoH, he just wished it was James coming through the door.
When it was finally time for the eviction everyone, including James, knew who was going. Natalie went in first and voted for James as did both Ryan and Sheila. That sent James out, once again, with a vote of 3 - 0. He walked out of the house with a lot more class than I would have thought and really didn’t pull a Chelsia like I thought he might. When he got outside to Julie she assured him that he wasn’t going back in. He then spoke candidly and let America know how much he hated the game, the house and the people still in. Well only some people. He used the word “hate” for both Natalie and Ryan and said he hated how they played the game.
With James finally out it was time for the next HoH. It’s another hanging endurance, how many are we going to have? Everyone was told to stand in a small glass box and hang on. The boxes were then lifted in the air and all they have to do is basically stay in the box, which is hanging in the air. The person who hangs in the longest will win the next HoH and be guaranteed a spot in the final four.
I’ll be updating who is out of the HoH for as long as I can. To see updates for the HoH just highlight between the stars. And while we are waiting, check out the interview I had with Jen below!
Highlight below for HoH updates:
*******************************************************************************************
So far Sharon has dropped down.
Ryan, Natalie and Sheila remain. Sheila is saying she will hang in there all night because she wants photos.
In the end Ryan dropped and then Nataile dropped giving SHEILA her first HoH win in the house.
Sheila cut deals with both Natalie and Ryan to keep them safe if they gave her the HoH.

CBS, Secret Talents
No Comments
Last night ‘Secret Talents of the Stars’ premiered. I wasn’t going to watch it at first but figured I’d give it a shot since they were promoting it so much during Big Brother. It seems like an interesting concept but still kind of ridiculous if you ask me. Celebrity shows haven’t done too well on CBS so I was shocked they’d even try another one. What the show is all about is taking ‘well known’ celebrities and having them perform something out of the norm. This means boxers are rapping, dancers are singing and singers are dancing.
One of the most interesting things I saw from the show was just how nervous host John O’Hurley seemed. The show was live so obviously things can go wrong and obviously he wasn’t ready. He seemed fine vocally and probably could have pulled it off if it wasn’t for his terribly shaking hands. It almost seemed like he was about to drop the mic several times and I couldn’t take my eyes off of just how nervous he seemed and his hands wouldn’t stop shaking! The judges are somewhat whacked out as well. Most crazy was Debbie Reynolds who apparently is a famous actor yet I have no clue who she is. She had several good jokes that you would never see coming from her and like O’Hurley said, almost turned the show into Pay Per View.
First up to perform her ‘hidden talent’ was Sasha Cohen. She’s an American ice skater whose hidden talent is contortionism. You know, bending your body into crazy ways they were never meant to be. Her performance was pretty good as she performed with ‘backup contortionists’. You could hardly tell the difference from her and her backups when they did group stunts. The only problem she had was falling off of her three person pyramid towards the end of her act. She was nervous pre-show about toppling the tower and she succeeded in doing so.
The voting for the show was then revealed and it’s rather odd. The show had people voting live on CBS.com during the commercial breaks after each act. I went to the website to see how voting was done and it was a simple yes or no question asking if that person should move on. I don’t understand how this is fair really as each contestant will have a different amount of people voting during each break depending on how fast the break is. Also won’t the last person going have a disadvantage?
Next up was George Takei of Star Trek fame. He had several quotes throughout his pre-show package and they were really banking on all the Trekkies to watch I’m sure. His hidden talent was that he sings country. He performed and was mentored by Montgomery Gentry but apparently not well enough. He was off time during his performance and didn’t really get into the groove of the song. Only one judge was really truthful during the whole show while the other two continued to tell the ‘celebrities’ how good they did. Even if they didn’t.
Third up was Clint Black, a country singer. His talent was a little more out there for his profession as he did a stand up comedy act. It was pretty good, I must admit, but was much more slow paced compared to the previous two acts. He made jokes about the show, his life and country music. I couldn’t really hear the crowd laughing too much but compared to the two previous celebs, he was rather good.
Last to go was singer Mya. She seemed rather nervous and I’m not sure why as she should be used to performing. Her talent was old school tap dancing and performed with several other backup dancers as well. It’s something you could see her doing, since she is a singer/dancer after all. Her performance went really well and all the judges agreed she was the best out of all four, but that didn’t help her in the end.
After the last commercial break we were then quickly told which two celebs would be moving on. Clint Black was told first and would be the first to enter the semi-finals. George was then told he had not made it, obviously, so it was down to Sasha and Mya. Both performed well but the judges loved Mya compared to only liking Sasha. In the end their votes didn’t matter and Sasha was the one moving into the semi-round. Like I said it seems going last may be a disadvantage so that may have been Mya’s demise.
The show was somewhat interesting, somewhat confusing and somewhat hard to watch. I wasn’t sure what was going on at times but that just may be the first live show jitters. Hopefully the next few weeks will be interesting. No huge names are slated for the show but at least we have a few consistent celeb-reality hopefuls to look forward to.
