It seems The Mole is on the bubble and producers are taking a stand to save the cult following show. So far ratings haven’t been that great so it seems ABC is thinking of making this season of The Mole the last. You can help save the Mole by watching the reruns which air today on Fox Reality and by posting on the ABC message boards as to why ABC should keep the Mole!
Fox Reality is looking for a new season’s cast of Solitary 3.0. The show takes several people and isolates them not only from the outside world but from each other. Each player is put in their own separate “pod” and cannot interact with anyone or anything besides a computerized voice named Val. The winner is determined by the last person remaining in the pod who doesn’t give up during one of the challenges or quits. It’s an interesting show where your only competition is yourself as you have to battle mentally and physically with the idea of being isolated and basically tortured. If you think you have what it takes to take on Solitary 3.0 and Val for the $50,000 grand prize then apply below.
Fox Reality recently had a show called “Realiholic” and well I feel I am! I’ve been addicted to reality tv since Survivor premiered in the summer of 2000 and then Big Brother right after that. I don’t know what really triggered me to love reality television so much but honestly it’s part of my life. I know it’s kind of lame and dorky but I can admit that I am addicted to raelity. Ok its a different addition then some as it doesn’t really harm you but still it’s an addiction! When I miss an episode I wonder what’s going on, when Big Brother is on I’m constantly updating myself on the house. Sometimes when I travel I image that I’m on the Amazing Race and actually need to get somewhere fast! I even hum the “dun… dun… dun dun dun” tune as I run to my next connection at the airport!
So I know I’m not the only one out there who is “addicted” to reality tv but still it makes me wonder. What is different with reality tv that makes it so much more “addicting” then other shows? Sure some are addicted to sport shows or soaps but still, reality television doesn’t end when you turn off your tv. You can go online and blog (that was Fox Reality’s top way you can tell you are a realiholic) and you can create more of an experience with reality tv. You miss shows when they are on break for the season and I even get withdrawals sometimes! It’s crazy. I know I sound like a broken record but still, it’s something to think about. So are you a realiholic? Leave a comment or post in the message board and let us know!
I’ve never really gotten into So You Think You Can Dance but it was on tonight so I gave it a shot. I thought it was going to be very similar to American Idol as there would be some amazing talent while most of the auditions focused on those who sucked. But I found myself being completely wrong as most of those who were shown were pretty good and probably knew they could dance. Once thing I found entertaining was how well the show goes into back stories. Rather then just spewing out people left and right like Idol, So You Think focused more on the people themselves rather then going through so many auditions that were pointless. I can honestly say the show seems interesting I don’t know if I will follow through. I felt bad for the girl who got far last year then came back this season with a injured knee. It was emotional and something I hardly see on Idol. But I never really get into Idol post-auditions so I fear So You Think may suffer the same fate. I can say that it was a few entertaining hours and I may watch again tomorrow but we shall see. If anyone would like to write recaps for So You Think You Can Dance though they are welcome to. If you think you can rehash then drop me an email at realityrehash@gmail.com and let me know!
Tomorrow night a whole new season of the Mole returns. The show features 12 new players (none are celebrities!), a new host and several new locations. They are also touting a more “simpler” format to the game which they hope will draw in new and more viewers. I’m very excited for the show. The Mole was great when it began but somewhat died out after the failed celebrity versions. If you’ve never seen the show and want to catch up before the new season starts tomorrow, Fox Reality is airing a marathon of at least the first season and I would assume the others today. So if you have Fox Reality make sure to check it out and make sure to tune in tomorrow for my rehash of the new seasons first episode!
After several years of being gone, Paradise Hotel returns for a brand new season tonight at 9pm est on MyNetworkTV. The show was revived in what seems like a new non-live aspect and will air on Mondays on both MyNetworkTV and Fox Reality. Paradise Hotel is a very interesting show that takes 11 people and puts them in an exclusive hotel. Every couple days, either one guy or one girl (depending who has more there) will be sent home. In their place someone of the opposite sex will enter the hotel and the game. Twists are abound and can happen anytime in Paradise Hotel and that’s what makes it so interesting. Tune in tonight at 9pm est to see the newest season begin and watch the preview below to see what it’s all about.
