Hoopz Wins ‘I Love Money’ & The Quarter Million Dollars

I Love Money, VH1 6 Comments

After several weeks, many eliminations and two quitters, Hoopz won I Love Money with a comeback win over Whiteboy. On the last elimination episode both Toastee and Pumpkin were eliminated, leaving the final four of Real, Hoopz, Whiteboy and Megan. All three wanted to win but with Megan the only one not in the alliance she realized that the only way to make it to the end would be to win the role of Pay Master. At the final Pay Master challenge the final four reenacted a fond moment from Flavor of Love 2. In that season Buckeyee almost pushed Krazy over the balcony and they were about to do the same.

For the challenge the fastest person to carry a Krazy doll over a suspended pathway, throw the doll over the balcony at the end and then return to the other side would win. Megan was up first and after getting halfway across the platform she fell, dropping the Krazy doll and disqualifying her. Hoopz was up next and although she quickly got across and threw Krazy over the balcony, she forgot to return and that hurt her time. Next up was Real and after completing the task only a few seconds past Hoopz’s time he was no longer in the running. That left Whiteboy to try his hand and with a time of 16 seconds he beat Hoopz out to become the final Pay Master of the game.

Renegades Claim The Final Two On Big Brother 10

Big Brother 10, CBS No Comments

It’s been awhile in the making but Big Brother 10 proved once again that a solid two person alliance can make it to the final two. With Dan and Memphis, the Renegades, sitting in the final two spot of the season it is now the third time in a row an alliance of two from the very start will win the game. On Tuesday night we saw Keesha walk out of the Big Brother house, furious as Memphis and giving Dan all the glory. Dan’s outburst as Keesha was elected against Memphis was just staged in hopes to throw Jerry off the Renegade trail. As the three were flying up in the sky for the endurance Head of Household, Dan and Memphis continued their “feud”. They wanted Jerry to think he was safe with both of them and he fell for the bait.

Although Jerry didn’t fall off the airplane on purpose, with only 10 minutes in Jerry’s plan tilted and he fell to the padded ground. He felt bad for not staying up longer but with the “feud” between Dan and Memphis he had a feeling both would take him now. Knowing Jerry wouldn’t last very long Dan and Memphis planned for Memphis to throw the HoH and give Dan the win. It did go according to plan but Memphis just took longer then expected to fall. That gave Dan the win for the first part of the HoH, pitting Memphis against Jerry in the second HoH “brawl”. Following the HoH Jerry realized that the feud could help him. Since he stuck with Memphis for a few rounds now he kind of hung around him but that just added to the “tension” between the two Renegades.

Rehash Review: Survivor Gabon Cast Revealed!

CBS, Survivor Gabon No Comments

Today CBS released the 18 men and women that will be competing in Survivor Gabon. The seventeenth season will head back to Africa to showcase “Earth’s Last Eden”. Although no twists have been revealed, the cast has and that’s good enough for now! Get to know the cast now since the premiere on September 25th is quickly approaching! It will be the first time Survivor airs a 2 hour premiere and is sure to pack a punch! Here we go, make sure to leave a comment when you’re done reading and discuss the cast with others!

Ace / 27 / Naples, Florida / Jewelry Sales

Ace is the first Londoner on the show and one of the few of the non-American born this season. He says that he’s arrogant and his bio says he’s a “flirter” so could he be a male Parvati? He’s live in several places before so he may be a good worker at camp and he’ll probably be good at competitions. I have a feeling he’ll go far but after annoying some people he’ll get the boot.

Bob / 58 / Portland, Main / Physics Teacher

Bob is the oldest guy of the season and will surely be the “dad” for some I’m sure. He’s a teacher so he knows how to interact with the young crowd, which he’ll be doing a lot of in Gabon. His bio claims that he’s worked in several different professions and always enjoys a journey. His vast background and age may allow him to slide through for a few rounds as he becomes friends with all the “kids”.

Charlie / 29 / New York, NY / Lawyer

Charlie is almost an exact replica of China’s winner, Brian. The two love the show of Survivor, they both know how to play and both are gay. It’s really interesting to see that they casted someone so similar to Todd but if he wins then we will know why they casted him. He says that his strategy is to make people think he’s weak and to make big moves. He knows a lot about the game and I think that will take him very far and possibly the win.

Corinne / 29 / LA, California / Pharmaceutical Sales

Corinne is a self proclaimed bitch and only does her job for the money. I have a feeling she could become the new Jerri Manthey since she is only there for the money and always gets her way. She should be fun to watch and if she knows how to sell herself she could get far. The longer she stays the more entertaining I think she’ll become as fighting it always a good way to become “famous” in the world of Survivor.

Crystal / 29 / Durham, North Carolina / Olympic Athlete

Crystal is one of those that is casted mostly because of her profession. She probably has no clue what the show is all about since she was found, rather then casted. But her speed, strength and height will surely give her an edge when it comes to challenges. If she lets everyone know she’s an Olympic winner that could hurt her in the long run but since most “casted” people leave early I see the same for Crystal.

Dan / 32 / Boston, MA / Lawyer

Dan is the second lawyer on the show this season and I have a feeling he and Brian will either hate each other or get along rather well. He doesn’t really stand out as a big player but more of a threat in competitions. His bio focuses on his sports accomplishments, most being in high school. Although it does say he had a realization that his family means more to him then ever. If he can stay somewhat hidden he may do well, but I doubt he can if he’s dominating in challenges.

Danny / 26 / Portland, Oregon / Maintenance Man

Danny reminds me a lot of Ozzy. His bio says that he loves the outdoors, swimming and fishing. Although that may be the case his video interview makes Danny seem rather “boring” I have a feeling he could slip under the radar. He’s had a rough life so Survivor may not be the hardest thing he’s ever done. He also wants to be helpful everyone yet stay hidden, which will be a good idea if he does turn out to be Ozzy 2.0.

Gillian /  61 / Temecula, CA / Retired Nurse

I really like this lady! Not only is she familiar with Africa (she was born there) she’s also a retired nurse and over the hill! She’s the female Jerry in my eyes with a touch of Cirie. She loves the show and has applied for 15 seasons. Gillian will probably be the fan favorite this season as she’s funny and knows what she’s doing out there. She knows she can take on the “boobs and butts” of the show and become the oldest winner yet!

Jacque / 25 / Santa Barbara, CA / Medical Sales

Jacque seems to be the tomboy of the season as she loves the outdoors and competing in sports and other adventures. She says she can overcome any extreme conditions and Survivor will surely put that to the test. Other then that I don’t get much from Jacque other then she’ll be some nice eye candy for the show. Since she knows how to work amongst men and older people, I think she will do well as long as she doesn’t get on the girls bad side.

Jessica / 29 / Brooklyn, NY / Pin-Up Model

Jessica aka Sugar, is one of those that probably has no clue what she’s doing out in Africa. She looks like Courtney from China but I have a feeling her personality is very different. Jeff Probst as said she’s very emotional, naive and plays the game with her heart. If she is like that she may be an early boot but then again she could go far if she joins the right crowd. I don’t see her making any big moves but rather gives us some good confessionals and break downs.

Kelly / 22 / Buffalo Grove, Illinois / Retail Sales

I have a feeling that Kelly will do good in this game. She looks great, seems smart and knows how to be a leader. If she can do all that and join up in a good group she will go far. Although she doesn’t look like it, Kelly says that she is very adventurous which probably will surprise many. I don’t think she knows much about the game but like I said, she’ll need a good group to take her far but can do well.

Ken / 22 / Westminister, CA / Pro Gamer

For once Survivor has casted the nerd! I have a feeling he’ll be well liked by everyone on and off the show. Ken is someone who you would expect to sit back and let things happen but his mind will always be playing out the game. He knows how to win and is addicted to the show. If he can use his strategy of winning Smash Bros. to the game of Survivor he’ll surely do well and impress a few people along the way.

Marcus / 28 / Atlanta, Georgia / Doctor

Marcus is the one from the commercials and I think a lot of people knew he was going to be on the show. Although he is a doctor I don’t see him being the next Dr. Will. I think he’ll be there for a few rounds then get the boot once he reveals that he’s a doctor. He’s a threat, already has many and I think many people will take that into consideration when they vote at Tribal Council.

Matty / 29 / Pacific Palisades, CA / Personal Trainer

Matty seems to be someone who is there just for fun and nothing more. I don’t think he’ll be too much into the game and may actually get into a few fights. He seems to be someone that won’t really want to help out at camp or do too much otherwise as he’s a bit of a slacker. Maybe the show will teach him a few things but otherwise I think he’ll be gone early since he doesn’t seem to want to be there.

Michelle / 24 / LA, California / Music Producer

I think Michelle will be good on the show. Both for entertainment and also in the game itself. She’s very easy to watch, at least on their interview video, and seems to have her mind made up of how to play the game. I really see her going far in the game with a great attitude and some hardcore game play. I really think Michelle is someone to watch out for.

Paloma / 24 / Downey, CA / Student

Paloma is someone that will be very unseen in the first part of the show, similar to Natalie last season. She doesn’t seem to have a mean bone in her body, her parents were missionaries after all. Her bio states that she’s a social butterfly and that will either help or hurt her in the game. If she can control it and be friends with the right people she could do well, but being friends with everyone is never a good idea in Survivor.

Randy / 49 / Eagle Rock, Missouri / Wedding Videographer

Randy is a bit strange it seems as he tries to crack jokes in his interview video that just aren’t funny to anyone else but himself. I don’t see him being that annoying on the show but I have a feeling if the people are dealing with it everyday it may get on some nerves. Who knows he may be the new Jonathan Penner but I doubt that.

Susie / 47 / Charles City, Iowa / Hairdresser

Susie is someone I think will add a lot of life to the show. She’s doing it to finally do something for herself and I think that’s reason enough to like her. I think she can become the camp mom for her tribe and will hopefully not be targeted for being in the “older” group. Maybe she’ll even become the next Sandra and surprise us all with a fiery mouth! Hopefully that’s the case but we can’t know for sure until September 25th!

The Greatest American Dogs Get Their Paint On

CBS, Greatest American Dog 1 Comment

The Greatest American Dog is showing just what dogs can do and I’m really excited as it seems the show is becomming a summer hit! On the last episode Brandy was eliminated from the game, giving Travis some room to breath and mingle. Brandy seemed to be holding him back a bit as she was very protective but with Brandy gone, Travis turned his attention to Laura. They had bonded a bit before but now they were full on flirting, through their dogs of course. Too bad the showmance was killed just as quickly as it started.

For the Dog Bone challenge the dogs were tested on their intelligence. They were given the task of finding their favorite foods behind a wall. The quickest dog to retrive the food would win the Bone Suite for their owner plus a leg up in the showcase. With an 8 second find, Star gave Bill his second Dog Bone win in a row but Bill had other plans. Since Teresa gave him the suite last round, he decided to repay her by doing the same for her. This mean Teresa would gain the leg up along with the suite, which her dog Leroy seemed to love more then her.

Along the lines of intelligence, the dogs were put to a painting challenge for their showcase. Each pair had to create a painting that represented their relationship. The dogs were the only ones who could touch the canvas, meaning the dogs would become doggie painters. When it came time for judging, Teresa’s leg up helped tremensously as she was named the best in show. She had a dog painting trainer help her create a piece of art that showed that Teresa and Leroy had a loving relationship but one that also had some down sides. The judges seemed to love that more then the art and that’s why they gave her the best in show.

In the last few rounds Travis and Presley were in the bottom of the barrel. Travis knew he had to pick up the pace this time and that he did. he created a meaninful painting that also looked great. The judges loved his symbolizom and that’s what kept him out of the bottom three. Bill and Star remainined in the middle by creating a painting that looked good but lacked a unique touch. The judges thought he did a good job, but didn’t use enough techniques. The last to not be in the bottom three was Beth Joy and Bella Starlet. The judges loved the symbolizom of the spiral and the painting itself. They also loved the fact that Beth Joy worked through Bella’s fear of her front paws, but that was part of a small controversy.

During her time with the judges, Laura spilled the beans that Bella Starlet yelped a few times during her time with the sponges on her paws. Beth Joy didn’t take well to that as she felt Laura was simply trying to get out of being in the bottom three. The talk didn’t work though as the judges hated Laura and Preston’s blob of a heart that looked more like a “pink pretzle”. Also in the bottom three were Laurie and Andrew since the judges thought their painting looked more like a poster then a painting. JD and Galaxy also made it to the bottom three, thankfully, since JD lied to the judges and their painting was too much of a jumbled mess.

In the end Laura’s lack of ability to control Preston’s painting movements and their very rushed painting gave them the boot. I’m sure her showmance’s backing of Beth Joy over herself didn’t please Laura too much so it would have been fun to see how things went down if she stayed. But we will never know and the fight between Laura and Beth Joy will never be more then we saw tonight. Guess we don’t have much to worry about though as the judges get into a small cat fight next week. Is Greatest American Dog turning into the next Big Brother with all these fights? I sure hope so!
