Small Mistakes Plague The Teams Of The Amazing Race 13

Amazing Race, CBS No Comments

On the last episode of the Amazing Race 13 the Hippies were eliminated leaving ten teams remaining. This week those ten teams raced throughout Brazil having one of the most mistake filled legs ever seen on the show. It all began where the last leg left off as Starr/Nick and Ken/Tina were the first out of the gate and at the airport. Here they learned the earliest flight to their next location in Brazil was all full. As Tina persisted begging to get on the lady at the flight counter let them know the flight was raised to a larger flight, giving not only them but the rest of the teams availability on the flight.

While at the airport Terence and Sarah continued their crazy antics, complaining that Nick/Star/Tina/Ken were in an alliance and that they “didn’t say hello”. It was actually very funny to see them complaining about that but their quarrel didn’t stop there. Since Tina thought she got the flight changed for everyone she told them all that they owed her. She and Ken then decided to butt in front of everyone in line for the plan, setting Terence off. He didn’t think they deserved to get ahead and started to rip Tina apart. Ken stepped in to save her and the quickly stopped following the commercial break. How convenient.

Fang Rebounds As Kota Sent To Tribal On Survivor Gabon

CBS, Survivor Gabon No Comments

Survivor Gabon got even more interesting as the tribe who nobody thought could gain a win actually did, sending the dominate Kota to Tribal council. Following Fang’s most recent tribal council where crazy old bat Gillian was voted off, the tribe was more fractured then ever before. Although everyone knew they’d have a new day in the morning to recoup, Randy was a bit upset that he got put on the “stupid” tribe.

Randy’s opinion didn’t change in the morning as he realized they were done half their rice in only seven days. As Randy asked the tribe to cut it down to two meals a day everyone agreed…. except for GC. He felt he didn’t have anything to do with it since they wasted a pot of rice in the first few days. Since GC once again felt someone was targetting him for a fight, Randy brought it to him as the two quarreled. It then became obvious who was the “cancer” in the group, according to Randy at least.

The Amazing Race Premiers Its 13th Season

Amazing Race, CBS No Comments

The Amazing Race is back for its 13th season and after winning their sixth Emmy in a row they have a lot to stand up for. Starting once again in Los Angeles, California the new 11 teams began from the Colosseum in California. After getting to know the teams the race began as the teams learned they were to fly to Belize for their first leg. Airport troubles once again struck as most of the teams went into the wrong line for tickets. After finding the new line Terence/Sarah, Mark/Bill, Aja/Ty, Nick/Starr, Kelly/Christy and Ken/Tina landed the first flight out.

While in line the frat brothers Andrew and Dan mentioned how they hoped the flight would be delayed, giving them a better shot as the second flight was three hours behind. Some didn’t take to that too well but it did of course jinx the flight as indeed the first flight to Belize was delayed, but not enough to arrive after the second flight. When landing in Belize the teams had to first find a sandwich shop where they would get a clue to transport a candy cart to a plaza. Terence and Sarah pulled out ahead quickly thanks to Sarah being able to talk the language and they landed the first spot on the sign in sheet in the end, giving them a 9:00 departing time.

Two Torches Snuffed On Premiere of Survivor Gabon

CBS, Survivor Gabon No Comments

The much anticipated premiere of Survivor Gabon was finally here and for the first time in high definition, Survivor snuffed two torches in the land of Africa. I must say the show does feel very different with the feature of HD and the stunning views of Africa sure didn’t hurt the transformation into the world of high definition. With a brand new cast following last seasons half all stars, Gabon began with a tribal pick em. After all 18 castaways gave a little blurb about themselves, Jeff asked the two oldest players Gillian and Bob to begin the picking as it was African tradition.

When all 18 were chosen it was obvious that one tribe was stacked compared to the other. Fang housed most of the older survivors while Kota was a more well rounded group. With the tribes out of the way it was then time for the first challenge. Far away in the distance were two individual immunities, one for each tribe. The first person from each tribe to grab an idol would be safe at their first tribal council. Food was also up for grabs as the first entire tribe to get to the finish line would win a bag of beans, something very important as Gabon features much less food then past seasons. With Jeff’s go everyone was off. GC and Marcus were the first to get to the finish for their tribes, giving them the idols. Michelle, who was the last person chosen, was the third across and the first girl. She proved she wasn’t the weakling they all though of her but others didn’t impress. Crystal, the Olympic gold metal winner for RUNNING came in dead last. Of course she did have some trouble climbing up the steep hill. Guess she’s only fast on flat terrain.
