The Teams Visit Cambodia On The Amazing Race 13

Amazing Race, CBS No Comments

The Amazing Race 13 visited an amazingly scenic country this week in Cambodia where towns float and temples spire over the land. As the teams left New Zealand there were some issues at the airport. Tina and Ken were first out thanks to their fast forward from last week and arrived at the airport first. Although they knew Terence and Sarah were behind they feared they may just catch up. Of course the two did just that even though there were some issues along the way. Terrence got pulled over for speeding on the highway which put them a bit behind but luckily they were able to catch the same flight.

Terence and Sarah weren’t the only ones to equalize the game at the airport. Toni/Dallas and Christy/Kelly ended up at the airport at the same time and had a bit of a confrontation. Kelly and Christy were making fun of Dallas, calling his Teen Wolf which didn’t sit well with Dallas. I don’t think he heard them but realized they were talking about him, luckily he let it slide. With those two teams plus Nick and Starr on the same flight that left Dan/Andrew and Aja/Ty still flight-less. Dan and Andrew landed at the airports just in time to make the flight but only after much coaxing. The travel agent told them they couldn’t get on but going to the front desk helped the guys out at the left Aja and Ty alone in New Zealand.

Southern Belles ‘Philiminated’ From Amazing Race 13

CBS, The Amazing Race No Comments

We are now four episodes into the Amazing Race 13 and it seems the gloves are finally coming off. On this leg of the race relationships were mended while others were strained. But in the end the two girls from South Carolina were eliminated from the race. At least they got a hug from Phil’s dad in the deal. After last weeks confrontation between Christy/Kelly and Nick/Starr I thought thinks were over but with news about Starr’s U-Turn beg things got a little messy. Although we didn’t get to see it, Kelly and Christy confronted Starr about asking Aja to U-Turn them. Apparently it didn’t end too well as both teams are even more at each others throats and it didn’t change at all during this leg.

Since everyone was in Bolivia in order to get to the next destination of New Zealand they all had to drive directly to the airport. There some tempers fumed as Kelly and Christy tried to eaves drop onto everyone else’s flight plans. Aja and Ty, who are dating long distance, also had a few tense moments as Aja was trying to control. Ty called her Fidel at one point but they ended up making up before the flight, which everyone was on. In New Zealand the teams ran to the marked cars and were off to find a knot. To get their next clue they had to simply untie the knot, where their clue was hidden inside. Some times had some trouble adjusting to the opposite side of the road driving. Luckily no teams were in an accident but Ty did run over the curb and get a flat tire. Aja wasn’t too happy about it and it kind of set the mood for them for the rest of the leg.

The Amazing Race Premiers Its 13th Season

Amazing Race, CBS No Comments

The Amazing Race is back for its 13th season and after winning their sixth Emmy in a row they have a lot to stand up for. Starting once again in Los Angeles, California the new 11 teams began from the Colosseum in California. After getting to know the teams the race began as the teams learned they were to fly to Belize for their first leg. Airport troubles once again struck as most of the teams went into the wrong line for tickets. After finding the new line Terence/Sarah, Mark/Bill, Aja/Ty, Nick/Starr, Kelly/Christy and Ken/Tina landed the first flight out.

While in line the frat brothers Andrew and Dan mentioned how they hoped the flight would be delayed, giving them a better shot as the second flight was three hours behind. Some didn’t take to that too well but it did of course jinx the flight as indeed the first flight to Belize was delayed, but not enough to arrive after the second flight. When landing in Belize the teams had to first find a sandwich shop where they would get a clue to transport a candy cart to a plaza. Terence and Sarah pulled out ahead quickly thanks to Sarah being able to talk the language and they landed the first spot on the sign in sheet in the end, giving them a 9:00 departing time.
