It’s been awhile in the making but Big Brother 10 proved once again that a solid two person alliance can make it to the final two. With Dan and Memphis, the Renegades, sitting in the final two spot of the season it is now the third time in a row an alliance of two from the very start will win the game. On Tuesday night we saw Keesha walk out of the Big Brother house, furious as Memphis and giving Dan all the glory. Dan’s outburst as Keesha was elected against Memphis was just staged in hopes to throw Jerry off the Renegade trail. As the three were flying up in the sky for the endurance Head of Household, Dan and Memphis continued their “feud”. They wanted Jerry to think he was safe with both of them and he fell for the bait.
Although Jerry didn’t fall off the airplane on purpose, with only 10 minutes in Jerry’s plan tilted and he fell to the padded ground. He felt bad for not staying up longer but with the “feud” between Dan and Memphis he had a feeling both would take him now. Knowing Jerry wouldn’t last very long Dan and Memphis planned for Memphis to throw the HoH and give Dan the win. It did go according to plan but Memphis just took longer then expected to fall. That gave Dan the win for the first part of the HoH, pitting Memphis against Jerry in the second HoH “brawl”. Following the HoH Jerry realized that the feud could help him. Since he stuck with Memphis for a few rounds now he kind of hung around him but that just added to the “tension” between the two Renegades.
Who would of thunk it? Greatest American Dog has revealed their winner every episode since the very first. I’ll explain more at the very end but for now lets get to the finale! Following the elimination of Teresa and Leroy it was down to the final three of JD/Galaxy, Laurie/Andrew and Travis/Presley. As they returned from the elimination the three owners discussed JD’s comments to Victoria, the head judge. They had a little spat last episode as she believed JD was using a mechanical method to train Galaxy, something Victoria highly disagrees with. As he was revealed to be safe JD said he would never threaten the “love of his life”, directed at Victoria’s statements. Back at the house Laurie told JD that she agreed with Victoria that he can be scary to his dogs. JD disagreed once again and walked away leaving Laurie and Travis to discuss it. They both agreed that he is threatening to his dog and he just doesn’t get it.
In the Best in Show Arena the three were told that they weren’t at the finals yet. One more would be expelled before the final two and it would be decided following a test from the judges. Laurie was up first and the judges grilled her on Andrew’s separation anxiety. Laurie told them its merely that he likes to follow her around and it was put the test. One of the judges, Wendy, then asked Laurie to leave and placed Andrew next to her own dog: Lucky. The two played for a bit but Andrew eventually ran back into the green room in search of his beloved Laurie. The judges had a good laugh about it and JD was up next. The judges told JD that he and Galaxy were the most experienced coming into the game but JD’s answer to that was to his disadvantage. By saying he learned nothing from the other owners and that Galaxy didn’t really grow throughout the weeks made JD seem rather arrogant and seemed to put the judges even more against him. Last up was Travis and Presley who were definitely the underdogs the entire show. The judges asked how Travis got his far and he said by watching the others. It was down to one final test that Victoria put Presley though. She put a treat first in her hand, next on the floor and finally on Presley paw. He didn’t even budge for it all three times and Victoria seemed to fall in love with Presley right then and there.
TV Guide has a special Survivor preview each season that focuses on the cast, twists and generally gives a great overview of what the season will entail. This season the show is hosted by Parvati and gives us a glimpse at the early part of the game and even the first immunity challenge! With video from Tribal Council and other insider information, it’s a good watch to get you pumped for the upcoming Survivor Gabon premiere. I have the entire episode below which is provided by SPSurvivorVideos.
Tonight one of the more dramatic eviction exits took place on Big Brother 10. With a fake secret message and some acting, it could change the way the game is played in the finals as alliances crumble all in a matter of minutes. Following the nominations last round of Jerry and Memphis, the Renegade alliance of Dan and Memphis were looking pretty well off. What the nominations did was split Keesha and Jerry to one of the Renegades, making the Power of Veto pretty much controllable no matter who won it. Keesha sided with Dan as she felt he would take her to the finals now that he didn’t put her him. Jerry continued to trust Memphis as the two were on the block together and now had a common enemy in Dan. Or so Jerry thought.
Later in the week Dan was given his trip, with Michelle, to a private beach. As he passed buy a gas station he noticed the price of $2.89. With “such a low price” Dan thought the economy was doing well…… he’ll be surprised when he gets out for good! As Dan flew across the ocean on the helicopter and worried how Michelle would react. She didn’t know who chose him and was shocked when she saw Dan jump from behind the helicopter. They both hugged and had a rather akward lunch but both seemed to have fun. Obviously Dan was grasping for a jury vote and actually asked Michelle if he has a chance at winning. Michelle wouldn’t really say and very little was spoken about the jury house. Michelle seemed to have fun and Dan may have won her over. We won’t know for sure until next Tuesday and that’s only if Dan is in the finals of course.
When was the last time you heard someone say their profession was mining for gold? It’s been awhile since the gold rush but America’s Toughest Jobs is bringing it back! The crew remained in Alaska this week, returning to Anchorage for their mining ordeal. With their bosses in tow the 11 remaining workers hiked to gold mining central: the creek. At the job site the crew was taught how to both pan for gold as well as drudge. Their first day was all about panning the good old fashioned way.
For the first three or so hours nobody was hitting any gold. The bosses said they weren’t necessarily looking at how much gold they found but how well they worked individually and as a team. After a few hours of no luck Sandy, once again, stepped up the game by finding a chunk! Rick and Michaela followed shortly there after and everyone was on the gold rush bandwagon. Although everyone found SOME gold, others were just not getting it. The boss couldn’t believe how some of the crew, especially Ben and Phil, were just sloshing the pans around. They felt after a full day of panning they should have got the hang of things but apparently its harder than it looks. Phil, who was lacking in the gold department, got knocked down another knock by actually getting knocked down. While crossing the creek (a big no no) Phil took a tumble and could have been washed away in the frigid water. Luckily only his bucket got washed away and he came out with only a cold.
When have you ever seen a gorilla in the Big Brother house? Well there is a first time for everything and that’s just the beginning! With one final twist BB10 is proving to be one of the best in a long time as it comes to a close. Following Renny’s eviction the final four both celebrated and cried. Dan seemed happy to see Renny go as he knew she couldn’t be beaten in the finals. Keesha took it the worst as she cried alone outside. She filled us in that Renny was her only tie in the game and now she is alone. Maybe her and Jerry can be alone together?
After the last Head of Household where Dan won, the houseguests were confronted with a sumo wrestler. After Dan stole the envelope from underneath the sumo’s butt the luxury competition was on! Sadly they had to wait for the next day to encounter even more strange things but we’ll get to that in a moment. But while they waited the houseguests discussed somethings and killed a moth. Jerry was on a “keep me roll” by telling Memphis the jury would vote Keesha over any of them. He seemed to buy it but then again Memphis has lied to Jerry before. Later that night it was time to feed the……. spider. Memphis and Dan both grabbed some moths and throw them into their pet spiders web. Keesha didn’t want anything to do with it going into her PETA mode but the boys didn’t care. The spider went to town on the moth, putting some education into Big Brother for once!
The next morning another pet, a gorilla, entered the house. Well it wasn’t a REAL gorilla but rather Jessie in a costume. With the luxury competition the houseguests had to decipher a phrase from several items in the backyard. With a contortionist, giant elephant, a tub of god knows what and a stuffed dog it really could have been anything. But with Jessie, I mean the gorilla, in the backyard things got a bit simpler. Jessie covered up items that didn’t have anything to do with the challenge until only two remained.
Jerry used up all of his three guesses before most of the items were covered up and made guesses that had nothing to do with the game. By guessing “diamonds are a girls best friend” and “hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil” Jerry was clueless and obviously not winning the luxury comp. Keesha also gave some odd answers such as “blew-it”. Yeah you sure did blow it Keesha! Memphis answered only once, simply because he had to. He said “fruitless exit” whatever that means. Dan was the only one to make sense with his answer by saying “bury the hatchet”. By guessing that it gave him the luxury win and a great one at that. Dan’s reward is that he gets to go to a private beach for a day and can take one person along with him. The catch is that he can take either one of the final four with him or one of the jury members. Since he didn’t want to anger the house, and possibly gain a jury vote, so Dan choice Michelle to travel to the private beach. It was smart as she is angry at him but then again it could always backfire.
With the luxury fun over it was time for the nominations. Before Dan would pull the single key of safety he had a little chat with Memphis. Memphis didn’t want to go up, obviously not realizing it didn’t matter who went up, but in the end Dan persuaded him that Memphis going up was the best case. It would make Jerry and Keesha think they didn’t have any deals and for Dan it would also put some good karma his way with Keesha. In the end Dan did just that by placing Jerry and Memphis on the block. Find out Tuesday night who wins the Power of Veto and details on Dan’s trip with Michelle. Will it pay off the way he wanted it to? Remember the show is LIVE on Tuesday at a new time, 8pm est.
