The finale of the Amazing Race 13 is finally here and its time for one of the final three teams to win. While they came into the race separated, Ken and Tina found themselves again on the race. Dan and Andrew have always had trouble be always used their luck to make it to the end. Nick and Star are obvious competitors, six first places put them in a good spot to win but really its anyone’s game. Still in Russia the final three teams learned their final destination was Portland, Oregon. All were happy that they were going home and they all were able to gain the same airplane, putting everyone equal for the final leg. Arriving in Portland everyone was off to the first task with Ken and Tina arriving first. The Detour was either high and dry or low and wet. In High and Dry they had to climb a tree and then walk through the hair on beams. Low and Wet the teams had to walk across a floating log bridge. Ken and Tina chose to climb the trees, hoping it was the faster route.

Nick and Starr arrived next and also chose high and dry. Dan and Andrew’s luck didn’t follow them from Russia as they got a bad taxi, putting them on the wrong route right away. Ken/Tina and Nick/Starr started doing the challenge around the same time. Ken and Nick easily grabbed the clue with Tina having some issues. We know she’s afraid of heights, allowing Starr to catch up. While Tina played with her helmet, Starr was able to get the last part of the clue, sending them on their way and into first place. Their next location was to the Bridge of the Guards, they were off while Tina still walked the trees. She had issues jumping for the clue, but finally did so, putting them back into the race. With both teams done, Andrew and Dan finally showed up. They decided to also do high and dry but still being behind they had to pick up the pace. They finally finished and all teams were racing to the bridge.

After 71 days of fun, drama, fights and twists, Big Brother 10 is now officially over with Dan claiming all 7 jury votes to win one of the best Big Brother seasons yet. The night started off with a well rounded recap of the entire summer. With Brian and his friends leaving first things looked bleak for Dan and Memphis, his two remaining friends, but when their alliance was born it ruled the entire game. Dan and Memphis worked everyone until the very end and that’s why that sat in the finals. Both played off of each other, keeping each other safe yet still playing for themselves. It all came down to the seven votes and the seven people they helped evict.

At the jury house everyone had an opinion on who they wanted to see. Libra wanted Jerry out but Renny didn’t even want to think of looking at him. Keesha wanted Memphis in the jury, for obvious reasons, while was very adamant about wanting Dan out. When Jerry walked through the door everyone was talking about him. Well rather bashing him. He didn’t catch the discussion though but most gave him a cold shoulder as they weren’t too thrilled he was back in their lives. All the girls on the jury had a very strong opinion on who should win. April battled for Memphis to win the money, simply because she hated that Dan got not only her but her boyfriend Ollie out as well. Keesha, Libra and Renny stuck to their guns for Dan and continually bashed Memphis. Renny said that Memphis didn’t play the game and she was in no way going to give him her vote. April basically said the same for Dan and continued on with her delusional self. Jerry seemed still upset with Dan but didn’t really give much of a reason. Michelle stayed rather quiet, other then telling Jerry about her trip with Dan. Ollie of course said hardly anything.

After the latest episode of the Mole, some were left scratching their heads as the preview didn’t say the finale would be next week. I must admit I was somewhat stumped as well but TV Guide has come to the rescue! There is not one but two more episodes remaining to this season of the Mole. Below are the last two airing dates along with a short preview of what the episodes will be about.

August 4th: Two missions will test the skills of the three remaining contestants. Then, one final quiz sets the stage for the big reveal.

August 11th (Finale): The winner, the Mole’s last victim and the Mole are revealed in the fifth-season finale after all 12 players reunite.

A Few Too Many Gets One Mole Player Executed

The Mole finally returns after a week of hiatus with more fighting and more sabotage. After the elimination of Kristen and the reveal that Nicole is the last woman standing everyone had something to say. Nicole for one was happy to be the last lady in the game but didn’t want that to be her only claim to fame. She wants to win but who doesn’t. Paul, as usual, also had a comment as his main goal isn’t to win but rather just to beat Nicole. They hate each other, what can I say.

Still in Mendoza the team was taken to a vineyard to begin their next mission. Before beginning the group of six was split into two teams of three. One was the “athletic” group while one was the “smart” group. On the athletic team was Mark, Clay and Alex who chose Mark to be their runner for the mission. The smart group consisted of Nicole, Paul and Craig with Paul being the communicator. Although Mark was easily chosen, Paul yelled that he’s the best to communicate because of his loud mouth. I must agree with him there.

The point of the mission was for the thinkers to answer trivia questions which would lead to a coordinate of a hidden wine bottle. Paul would then have to send the coordinates to Alex and Clay using a cell phone and they would be the ones searching for the wine. Mark’s job was to keep time as he was running on a treadmill. Better yet, each time a bottle of wine was found the treadmill would go faster. Basically if he fell off the mission was over and there went the possible $70,000 they could odd to the pot.

For the thinkers the time was rather interesting as it focused mostly on Nicole and Mark. Nicole would “guess” an answer while Mark would correct her even though he was doing the treadmill at the same time. Paul’s mouth got in a way a bit as well as he and Nicole has another spat as he erased one of her incorrect answers. She didn’t take to kindly to that and egged him to continue their feud once again. For Alex and Clay their job was simply to run where Paul told them too in hopes of finding a bottle. They were only given one wrong coordinate so that’s good on the thinkers part but it was also on them to run fast enough to get back before Mark’s legs gave out. In the end they did just that and found all 7 bottles. This put $70,000 into the pot along with a few more suspicions on who could be the mole.

Following the mission everyone relaxed back at the hotel. Paul and Alex chatted a bit and both seem to think that Nicole could be the Mole. Over in Clay and Marks room things were a bit off as Clay was beginning to think that Mark really was the Mole. Mark on the other hand can’t believe that Nicole could be the Mole but rather thinks that it is Alex. He knows that Alex has been drinking a lot of wine at the quizzes yet stays each time. That led Clay to realize Alex as the mole as well so tonight’s quiz will surely be interesting.

Although the last mission gave the team $70,000 another $60,000 and an exemption was at stake at the next mission. Everyone was led to a bridge in Mendoza that crossed the river of Mendoza. Here they would have to “simply” bungee off the bridge and throw a bag into a target laying on the ground. The target ranged from $10,000 to $4,000 and each player was given the chance to guess the total amount the team would win in order to gain an exemption. In the end the person closest to the correct amount would be safe at the next quiz.

Mark was up first and seemed to have no trouble at first but got nervous when he stepped onto the platform. After guessing his exemption amount he quickly jumped off but missed the target by only a few feet. Paul and Clay went next and both missed the target as well. Next up was Craig’s and him jumping over anything is always scary. He didn’t seem to want to do it but jumped for the chance at exemption. Although he almost splatted on the ground he didn’t hit the target so with that Alex was up next. He seemed to be scared but it seemed like an act to me. He luckily hit $4,000 putting at least some money in the pot. Last up was Nicole who had been saying she wouldn’t do it the whole time. In the end she did jump, rather well I must say, and also did not get any money. So after all six jumped only $4,000 was put into the pot and no exemptions were rewarded as everyone guesses way too high.

At dinner Mark and Clay put their plan to work to make sure Alex had a bit too much wine to drink. In the end it seems it may have pulled off as Alex was the one executed with the dreaded red thumb. It was a bit shocking since his name was read first but I guess that doesn’t always mean your safe. Next week should be interesting as family members enter the game but how will that play out? It seems like it will be part of the mission where the players must choose not to see their family in hopes of adding money to the pot.
