We all thought we knew how Big Brother 11 would end but with the 2nd HoH now over and the finale night changed just a bit things will surely be rocky come Tuesday night. Following the eviction of Michele we got to see the first part of the last HoH begin. Tonight the houseguests remained on the log, well on TV at least, and we saw them get pelted by ice, rain and wind. Natalie seemed to be having the worst time of the three as she almost slipped off at least once while Jordan had a hard time only once the ice started to fall. Kevin was shaking a bit, but I think it was all a ploy to help Jordan fall and that she did. After trying to warm up, the log suddenly jolted and Jordan went slipping to her HoH doom. That left only Kevin and Natalie left to win and although it was planned for Kevin to win, Natalie didn’t go out without a fight. A few nights ago the duo discussed that Kevin would win the first part and then Natalie would go to the second, since she’s better at mental challenges. Natalie didn’t want to just give the HoH to Kevin, which made him wonder what was going on, but after swearing up and down that he would take her to the final two Natalie finally jumped off. Making Kevin the first part HoH winner and somewhat sealing Natalie’s fate.

The show then went back to live and Julie revealed to us and the final three that they would all be staying in the house until finale night. I think they thought it was a final three for the win at first, but Julie then revealed that they would play for the second HoH tonight and everything else on finale night. The last part of the HoH, eviction, jury questioning and live vote will all take place on next Tuesday’s finale. That is a LOT to cram into a two hour block and have it be live…. it should be fun. After freaking out the final three Julie then showed us Jeff’s time in the jury house. It seems the clouds have passed as Jeff, Russell and Lydia didn’t hurt him too bad but they did celebrate like they just won the $500,000. Jeff took it all in though and laughed with them, seems the jury isn’t as harsh as they make it seem when they get evicted. All seem to be rooting for Kevin to win, except for Russell. I think the best shot for either ladies to win it is to take each other, the All Stars agree as well.

Renegades Claim The Final Two On Big Brother 10

It’s been awhile in the making but Big Brother 10 proved once again that a solid two person alliance can make it to the final two. With Dan and Memphis, the Renegades, sitting in the final two spot of the season it is now the third time in a row an alliance of two from the very start will win the game. On Tuesday night we saw Keesha walk out of the Big Brother house, furious as Memphis and giving Dan all the glory. Dan’s outburst as Keesha was elected against Memphis was just staged in hopes to throw Jerry off the Renegade trail. As the three were flying up in the sky for the endurance Head of Household, Dan and Memphis continued their “feud”. They wanted Jerry to think he was safe with both of them and he fell for the bait.

Although Jerry didn’t fall off the airplane on purpose, with only 10 minutes in Jerry’s plan tilted and he fell to the padded ground. He felt bad for not staying up longer but with the “feud” between Dan and Memphis he had a feeling both would take him now. Knowing Jerry wouldn’t last very long Dan and Memphis planned for Memphis to throw the HoH and give Dan the win. It did go according to plan but Memphis just took longer then expected to fall. That gave Dan the win for the first part of the HoH, pitting Memphis against Jerry in the second HoH “brawl”. Following the HoH Jerry realized that the feud could help him. Since he stuck with Memphis for a few rounds now he kind of hung around him but that just added to the “tension” between the two Renegades.

Discovery Channel’s Alaska Experiment

You may not realize this but Discovery Channel has amazing reality tv programming. Most of the shows don’t seem like “reality” when watching them as they aren’t competitive in nature but they do fall into the reality realm. The newest one called The Alaska Experiment harkens back to the early Survivor days when the show mostly focused on the survival aspect of the contestants. In ‘Experiment’ four groups of people are placed in four separate remote locations of Alaska. They are forced to fend for themselves, gather their own food, cut their own fire wood and survive. The show has no competition but rather tests each of the groups by seeing how long they can live off of the rough and sometimes deadly Alaskan land. The groups live in their “homes” for at least three months and are monitored daily by the crew to ensure all of safe to remain in the experiment. The homes they live in range from a canvas tent to an abandoned cabin. Each team uses different strategies to survivor and the ‘experiment’ is watch very closely to ensure the teams have the most basic tools and supplies possible to live in Alaska. The first show I watched yesterday has truly got me hooked as I’ve been wanting that survival aspect of Survivor to return. The Alaska Experiment just might be the closest thing. New episodes air every Tuesday night at 10pm while reruns are run often. To find out when the show will air for you click here.
