Big Brother Breakup As Power Stays In Same Hands

Big Brother always has twists and turns and tonight the last person I wanted to win HoH did… thanks to a lucky guess challenge. Following the Power of Veto ceremony Jeff and Jordan knew that one of them were going home and that it would most likely be Jeff. The two spent their last days together just trying to have fun and Jeff pumping Jordan up for a possible win. She almost wanted to quit at one point but thankfully she stayed. As the two spent their time hoping for the best, Natalie spent her time claiming all the power. She claims that she sent Jeff home this week and totally forgot that Kevin was HoH. I’m glad that Kevin finally sees that Natalie can’t be trusted, sadly he didn’t do anything about it.

Although we all know what was about to happen, Jeff did try to sway things to his side by offering Natalie a deal. He and Michele discussed what they should offer and the deal was “sweet”. The deal was that if Natalie votes to keep Jeff then Jeff and Michele would throw the HoH to her, giving Natalie a free shot to the finals. It was kind of stupid for Michele and Jeff to do, but I guess it was a last ditch effort. It seems that Natalie was somewhat buying into it but we’ll see if that’s true a few lines down.

Another Lady Lucks Out On Top Chef Las Vegas

Top Chef sent home Eve last week, someone whose name I actually know. Following Eve’s knife packing the house awoke to a new day, but still rehashing the last. The ladies weren’t happy about losing the past elimination challenge while the guys were still relishing in their win. It seems one of the bedrooms has bad luck as both Jen and Eve were in the same room. Laurine, Preeti and Jesse all remain but if one of them leave this time around I smell conspiracy! Into the kitchen the chefs then go to meet Mark Peel, a famous chef from California along with a ton of potatoes. Their task was to create a dish that featured the potato and they had 45 minutes. Everyone was then off to cook their potatoes, some made the potato the main ingredient while others made it only a component. One interesting one was sweat potato icecream…. let’s see if that works. Some drama went done between Ashley and Preeti used Ashley’s water.

It was then time for Padma and Mark to taste the dishes. Nobody really got a bad rating while they tasted and it seemed even the ice cream was good! Surprising, but I guess anything can make an ice cream flavor lately. Most chefs seemed to judge themselves worst then Mark did, he’s a nice judge for once! In the end he chose Eli, Ron and Jesse for the bottom while Jenn (again), Ash (the ice cream?) and Ashley were on the top. Guess Preeti stealing her water didn’t hurt! Jen then took home the win again, after gaining immunity the first episode, meaning she’s safe again from going home. She probably wouldn’t have anyway but I guess it’s nice.

It’s Raining Cash In The Big Brother 11 House!

Finally the Mystery Door AKA Pandora’s box was unleashed and it wasn’t as exciting, or maybe it was, then I had expected. Since I can’t complain about no Mystery door tonight, I’ll complain about the show intro. It seems we have gone back in time as it depicted Russell still alive and well in the house with a full color picture to boot towards the end. You would think the editors wouldn’t slack this late in the season! Ok into the game we go and we follow the nominations. Things weren’t looking so great for Jeff and Jordan as they realized that Jordan had to win the Power of Veto for the best possible scenario to occur. The two had a few somber moments while Michele was rather peppy, considering how previous days of tears. Kevin and Natalie weren’t too exciting during the period of time…. I honestly don’t even remember seeing them other then hoping they win veto.

Ok now onto the mystery door which we were teased for two episodes now. It all started when Kevin went into the HoH and saw the door with the questionmark. He read the letter saying that it is Pandora’s Box and that going inside would unleash $10,000 on the house. He quickly decided to enter into a huge room next to the HoH…. now why don’t they just USE it? Oh well, he ended up sticking his hand into the box and were it was then locked in. The house then spewing money in the backyard and the other four were able to quickly snatch it up. Nobody really realized that Kevin was missing until Natalie went upstairs to get him, he told her to find the key to unlock him but she went back down to grab more money, leaving Kevin still chained up. Jeff then ventured into the HoH where Kevin told him he HAD to unlock him or they wouldn’t get the money. That led Jeff to find the key, but he still went back outside to grab some more cash. In the end Jeff took home around $3,000, Michele took home around $2,000, Jordan and Natalie took home around $1,000 each and after being unlocked Kevin took home $600 some dollar. Not bad for living in a house, now if they would only shoot money into MY backyard!

It’s All About The Brothers On Top Chef Vegas

Top Chef Las Vegas premiered last week and with 17 new chefs it was hard to follow and I honestly don’t remember any of their names beginning this second episode. I know its hard to cram all that into an hour and fifteen minutes, but hopefully tonight we get to know some of the chefs and not just drama and twists that plagued the first episode. For round two things open up at the house as the bottom three react to their lower positions. Jesse just wants to prove herself while Eve wasn’t esxactly sure what to do. The brothers were then showcased as they discussed a sibling rivalry being the reason they cook at the level they do. Um… maybe on the show but I doubt that’s the case everywhere.

Back in the kitchen its time for their second Quick Fire and their guest judge was Todd English. A craps table was sitting in front of them when they entered and the chefs has to roll a dice. The number they receive would be the number of ingredients they can work with. Not only would luck play a role again, but it was another high stakes Quickfire and they could win $15,000. It was then time to roll the dice. Kevin, the winner last round, was first and was not happen with his 10 ingredients. Everyone followed and seemed to be getting around 6 and 9 ingredients. Laurine rolled the lowest rolled was 3, not too bad but the plan was simplicity.

Banana Returns As Rapping Gorilla On BB11

Big Brother has had some strange competitions but none were more stranger then tonight’s rapping gorilla as Casey returned, in voice, to host the Power of Veto competition that will change the end game forever. Following the nominations ceremony Natalie and Kevin had differing reactions. Kevin was uneasy about them both being on the block and still felt they needed to win the POV to stay, while Natalie felt Jeff would pull through and they would 100% be safe this week. The same feelings also could be said for Russell and Michele. Russell was paranoid that either he or Michele were the real target this week while Michele felt everything about the final four deal would be fine.

With those two pairs worrying it out, Jordan and Jeff were bickering about their situation in the game. They held the power back to back from last to this week and that has put some strain on their relationship. Jeff feels that he is carrying Jordan through the game, forgetting she won the PoV all herself last week, and that she relies on him to much. It does seem true, and most probably see it that way, but Jordan feels that she is pulling her weight. She could have proved it during the Power of Veto competition this time, but thanks to the mud and water Jordan just couldn’t pull through.

The Fillers Begin As HoH & Nominations Revealed on BB11

Tonight was one of those half filler/half strategy talk episodes of Big Brother and its right on schedule as it happens around this time every season. With less and less houseguests in the house, there is always less to do and talk about so we get to see some “filler” which is random clips of the houseguests or showcases of certain ones. The show opened up with Lydia elimination and the reactions that followed. Jordan was glad that Lydia was out of the game, since she thought she was crazy. While Kevin was upset, for obvious reasons, but held it together. He knows how to play and I think with Lydia gone, Kevin will have a much better shot at winning the whole thing.

It was then time for the HoH competition which began on Thursday’s episode and finished up here. The challenge was to drop cans into two plastic tubes, the first person to get 24 cans into the tubes would win HoH. Kevin was in an early lead with Russell following behind. The girls were out of it for mostly the entire competition but Natalie picked it up towards the end. Half way through the “golden cans” were introduced. If a player got a golden can into one of the tubes, they could block the tubes of another player for 60 seconds. Russell was the first to use a golden can and blocked Kevin’s tubes first. Kevin was in a lead and only needed a few more. Thanks to the blockage, Jeff was able to catch up to both and took the 2nd place spot.
