First of all weren’t we supposed to see the Mystery Door challenge/luxury tonight? Guess not since all the filler was so much more important. It all began with the HoH competition and we finally got to see Kevin’s big slip (twice!) that we missed during the live show. That was probably the last time he fell during the entire night though as he quickly rebounded. During the HoH there was a flashback to Russell’s eviction. Michele was the only one upset since the only person she felt aligned with was gone from the house. Natalie was happy, along with Jeff, but for different reasons. Natalie was glad that her plan and lie worked and Jeff was happy that the biggest threat was now out of the competition.

Back to the HoH we saw some more slipping as Jordan feel several times…. not really in a row as they made it seem but she did fall a lot. It was also funny how they showed her saying “slippy” instead of slippery int he Diary Room. She’s the best DR person this season and should come back for an All Stars 2 simple for that reason! Natalie’s slippage wasn’t shown as much as I would have though, considering she fell almost every run down the alley. They tried to make it seem like she was throwing the challenge, which I don’t think was the case. Jeff seemed to believe that though but it didn’t make him suspicious. Kevin wasn’t too happy about it either as he felt she made him the sole person playing for the HoH, even though they were both in danger. When it came down to the end both Michele and Kevin were close but since Michele fell several times, Kevin was able to claim his marshmallow first and won the HoH key.

With Pod 8 exiting Solitary 3.0 its time to get the real story behind her stay. Pod 8, whose real name is Karrie McNeal, pushed the red button after suffering a face-to-glass treatment. Before she left Pod 8 revealed that Solitary helped her be calm with herself. She was one of the few players who seemed to have fun in her pod throughout the entire time yet almost quit towards the end. What was going through Karrie’s mind during her final treatment and what made her almost quit? You’ll have to read the interview to find out!

Were you a fan of Solitary before entering the game and how did you get involved in the casting process?

Yes, I must say that I was a fan of the show. I got involved in the casting process by constantly looking up casting for Solitary 3.0.. It took a lot of time and effort but I must say it paid off in the end.

The game started off much different then any other season, with two people starting in a pod. What were your thoughts on your initial pod mate and what did you think that meant for the rest of the game?

I was very shocked to pull my blindfold off only to see someone else there. My first impression of my initial podmate (#6) was a little intimidating. But as we got further into the test I noticed that he wasn’t that intimidating at all. I was real shocked to find out that he was the next person to go after watching the first episode.

Mark Crowned The Winner Of The Mole

This may be the last season of the Mole but at least it was entertaining and brought a few shocks along the way. After a few short clips from past player, well mostly useless Bobby, the winner of the $420,000 was crowned. Mark become the fifth winner of the Mole and he deserves every bit of it. He played the best game, in my eyes, as he took countless notes and didn’t get caught up in too much drama.

When Mark was revealed as the winner it was then time to reveal who was the Mole. With it being between Craig and Nicole I was still somewhat stumped but hoped it was my pick who I mentioned last week: Craig. In fact the Mole WAS Craig and I was glad to finally have been right! Several players knew it was Craig towards the end, Paul and Nicole actually tied in the second to last execution. Since both knew Craig was the Mole, Paul’s slower time of taking the quiz sent him packing and put Nicole into the finals.

Some other interesting things from the finale were how many times Mark almost went home. He didn’t start using Craig as the Mole until the final quiz where he got 17/20 questions right over Nicole’s 13/20. Mark actually would have gone home if Victoria didn’t miss click so it shows just how important the quizzes and timing are in the game of the Mole. Some other interesting things were about Craig and how he pulled off some sabotages. In most of the challenge he threw some type of wrench into the mix. For instance he purposely talked after the lugeing mission and purposely dropped the bag in the first. Although he did have to sabotage a lot, Craig’s trip to the hospital for hypothermia was real. That probably scared the producers a bit, wonder what would have happened had their Mole had to drop out of the game?

Overall the Mole, which may never air a new season, was a great summer show that brought back the original format. It didn’t go over in the ratings as well as the first two did but I loved it and I think the die hard fans did as well. It was nice to see a return, if he comes back again I’ll surely watch and hope its as good as this season was!
