Rain Becomes Biggest Pain On I’m A Celebrity

The rain seemed to be the biggest drama of the night on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here as fake Janice drama tried to fill the Speidi gap. Ever since those two left the show has focused on the antics of Janice. She doesn’t really do anything wrong, she just opens her mouth and people get annoyed. It’s obvious that Janice knows how to make people angry but in the end she comes off as America’s new sweetheart thanks to her breakdown and weak moment, along with her trip to medical. Janice is someone that could win this game simply because America loves their crazies. She’s a good crazy though, she makes good TV yet still knows how to make people like her.
Janice wasn’t the only one leaving, or attempting to leave, the camp as John wanted to as well. His troubles were not physical but mental as he missed his family and wanted to go home. I don’t blame him considering how crazy the weather has been and the snake invader, but hey he’s getting paid and going home probably cuts a few zeros off his paycheck in the end. After some time thinking and a talk with Patti, John decided to stay and in the end it was all worth it. He felt that America would never vote for him to win since he isn’t the “blond white chick” but he was proven wrong in the leadership challenge, over half the positive answers were for him. Proving America does like John, enough to consider him the biggest celebrity there even.
With that little drama off the table it was back to the love fest that Lou has created. It seems everyone is good with one another now, even Janice and everyone. They have talks about who they like best at camp and are seeming to work well together. That’s not what we want to see though but hey, we can’t have drama every night can we? One can only hope. The first challenge of the night was for luxury. Two males and two females would compete for the chance at a massage. John and Lou went for the guys while Torrie and Patti went for the ladies. It was all about who could push and pull a socket the fastest and Torrie beat out Lou by a few minutes. That gave her and Patti (who didn’t really do anything) the win, making it an even game for the sexes and giving the two massages.
Later in the episode we were greeted with the Tunnel of Terror. Why do they have such stupid names? Even Big Brother can come up with challenges that actually go along with whatever stupid name they give them! America voted for Sanjaya and Torrie to compete, once again for food. Although we didn’t really get to see what it was this time. They had to jump into a tunnel that was made to look underground. If you looked close enough, it was just raised a bit so it was all an allusion! They then had to search for stars in hand punch scary things with spiders, craw fish and snakes inside. Oh and the alligators with their jaws tied shut again. Oh so scary! At least they didn’t bring out the terrifying frogs again!!!! I kid. Sanjaya was first and went right into things, grabbing the stars and only flinching with the craw fish. They bit him, so I guess he has the right to flinch. In the end he got 19 stars.
Torrie was up next and did just as well, well slightly worse. She got 18 stars, losing by one and freaking out only slightly more. She didn’t freak out like I thought she might, which proves she’s a tough competitor, but I doubt she’ll win considering others are more liked, and famous, then she. Back at camp everyone really praised both of them, although Torrie hated losing. It was a close race but since they won’t let them share the food anymore it doesn’t really matter. That night another guest entered the camp. If this was Big Brother it would be considered a REAL houseguest, but since this is I’m a Celebrity they only except REAL celebs on the show so the snake wasn’t considered. The “on-site security” AKA Ninjas entered camp over the night and grabbed the snake, before it could attack. Only Patti and John saw it happen and seemed somewhat scared…. making Stephen realize the show is real and not just on a set. More real then the Moon Landing at least.
Towards the end of the episode we were greeted with the last challenge of the night: the leadership challenge. Since Lou had it for two weeks in a row he could no longer participate, meaning it was time for a new leader. The challenge had the celebs guessing what America chose for certain questions. Those who got it right could give an X to another player, three Xs and that player was out. Janice was out first, since she didn’t want the leadership role, followed by Sanjaya. In the end it came down to John and Patti. Since John was able to answer all the questions he won the challenge and became the new camp leader. That gave him pictures from home and bed… sounds familiar. That was all we really got to see of the campers tonight as the rain forced the live immunity challenge to be pushed into tomorrow’s episode. Will it even matter who wins or will it be pointless again? I don’t really think I even have to watch to find out the answer to that question.
