Lou Diamond Phillips Wins I’m A Celebrity

After 24 days Lou Diamond Phillips, the biggest celebrity on the show, won I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here in a no surprise ending. Lou dominated the show (no I will not call it a game because a game it was not). He was hardly ever up for elimination, if at all, and beat out Torrie Wilson and John Salley to become King of the jungle. Both John and Torrie were in the bottom two at least once in the shows run so it seemed obvious that Lou would win. His prize…. the title of “King of the Jungle”, a hat made out of leaves and the chance to sit on a “thrown”. Wow. Oh his charity also gets some money, how much? We have no clue because the show rarely discussed the actually charities, the amount they would receive and exactly what they had to do with the show.

There weren’t really many contenders on there. I guess they all had potential to win but being that so few people probably voted on the show it wasn’t really that big of a deal. I mean.. it’s all about who is the bigger celebrity and is the reason that Big Brother 1 failed here in the first place. If you’re just voting for someone based upon them living, there really isn’t much fun in it. Although the show wasn’t that great, there were some great moments as we got to see some of our most favorite Reality Stars back in action. Sanjaya proved to be the polar opposite of himself on American Idol while Janice Dickinson became, probably, a bigger “star” then she was before. Thanks to her spitting, under-active bowels and her crazy stealing antics.

In the end the show was rather…. dull. It started off dramatic with Heidi and Spencer but fizzled out quickly when it became obvious that the show had no rules, didn’t care about throwing people in or taking people out and generally lacked the credibility that even Big Brother has. They claimed at the very end to “see us next year” but with the dismal ratings and the overall flack that the show has received, I doubt that will ever happen. At least I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here tried… and was a nice bumper until Big Brother started. NBC tried to overthrow the show that makes the summer: Big Brother and it just ain’t gonna happen.

Rain Becomes Biggest Pain On I’m A Celebrity

The rain seemed to be the biggest drama of the night on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here as fake Janice drama tried to fill the Speidi gap. Ever since those two left the show has focused on the antics of Janice. She doesn’t really do anything wrong, she just opens her mouth and people get annoyed. It’s obvious that Janice knows how to make people angry but in the end she comes off as America’s new sweetheart thanks to her breakdown and weak moment, along with her trip to medical. Janice is someone that could win this game simply because America loves their crazies. She’s a good crazy though, she makes good TV yet still knows how to make people like her.

Janice wasn’t the only one leaving, or attempting to leave, the camp as John wanted to as well. His troubles were not physical but mental as he missed his family and wanted to go home. I don’t blame him considering how crazy the weather has been and the snake invader, but hey he’s getting paid and going home probably cuts a few zeros off his paycheck in the end. After some time thinking and a talk with Patti, John decided to stay and in the end it was all worth it. He felt that America would never vote for him to win since he isn’t the “blond white chick” but he was proven wrong in the leadership challenge, over half the positive answers were for him. Proving America does like John, enough to consider him the biggest celebrity there even.

Heidi & Spencer Quit I’m A Celebrity Yet Again

I’m a Celebrity was back after the weekend break and its time for a two hour episode. Well about only a half hour was real show… the rest was just Speidi drama. It opened up with most of the cast first wanting them to not come back but the tides seemed to turn with John, Janice and Stephen wanting them back. Lou then came on and said that the group made the decision to let them come back… which is the opposite of what Angela said. Who knows what they decided but Speidi was coming back, as long as they lasted through the Isolation Chamber at least. Overnight they slept with spiders and prayed to God for the entire duration. They lasted… somehow and returned to camp with only Janice being happy. Others seemed to be somewhat happy since Heidi and Spencer seemed to have changed and I think that’s all they wanted: change.

With the two back that put the cast back up to eleven but it was about to drop again. With Angela leaving last time, Frances was feeling lonely and decided to leave the show. It was rather obvious that would occur since the two were best buds and you never see them separated.. but it came down to it and she left without any drama whatsoever. Hmm if only someone else could do that. Although Janice loves Heidi and Spencer, she went back to her Top Model days and judged Heidi’s singing. She did sound horrible, and everyone knew it, but Janice was the only one to talk. She called Heidi a “drowning cat” which she giggled at but Spencer didn’t like. He was much calmer then ever before, to say the least, but Janice was upset about Spencer getting upset and went to apologize. It was just blown out of proportion, like any reality fight, and was forgotten for the rest of the episode. That’s not all the drama though! Just you wait.

The First Celebrity Gets Voted Off Of I’m A Celebrity

On last night’s I’m a Celebrity we learned that Heidi and Spencer wanted to come back to camp and that their fate was in the hands of their fellow celebs. Following the live show, the group discussed their decision and it was rather split. Angela, Frances and Lou were against letting them return while Stephen, John and Janice wanted to give them a second chance. We won’t know until Monday night what their “fate” is, which doesn’t make sense. I think they’re letting them carry over to try and gain ratings but since we saw so little of Speidi tonight I assume they won’t be returning. The remainder of the episode was mostly about Janice and the first dealt with her stealing issue.

Many items had gone missing around the campsite and it all stemmed back to Janice. She took Angela’s hair pack, John’s pillow and Torrie’s underwear. Nobody spoke to her about it so I assume the issues will continue and if they do, that’s good for us. It could lead to more drama and Janice freaking out is always a good thing. The other issue dealt with Janice being sick, you couldn’t tell? She’s been spitting mucus around the camp and some feared for their feet. They all walk barefoot in the jungle, apparently, so the idea is that they will step on the mucus and get sick. If you’re walking BAREFOOT in the JUNGLE that’s probably the least of their worries.

Daniel’s entrance to the game also got some airtime since everyone seems to like him. He fits in well considering he wants to actually work and for some that’s the best thing in the world. When it came to the food trial the guys chose him and John while the ladies sent Torrie and Patti. The challenge was to race through the mud under a fence and grab a cube puzzle piece. They then had to drag it back through the mud and once all pieces were returned they could reassemble the cube. It was a standard reality show challenge and the guys won yet again. Patti and Torrie did pull their weight but sucked at the puzzle, giving John and Daniel the win for the guys. Yet again.

Before the vote for who was leaving was revealed the group ate their last dinner together and were finally getting along. It seems they all like each other now but are still spilt about the Heidi and Spencer thing. Them leaving really brought the group together but one of the ladies had to leave. Tonight we learned who that would be LIVE. It came down to Angela or Torrie as Janice and Frances were revealed to be safe. In the end Angela was revealed as receiving the least amount of votes to stay, making her the first person to be eliminated from the game but not the first to leave. Will the two others return on Monday? I have a feeling it’s all a ploy for watchers but from tonight’s episode I assume that the show will remain Heidi and Spencer-less.

I’m A Celebrity: Will The Cast Reaccept Heidi & Spencer?

Just when you thought it would be a Speidi-less episode of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, the duo returns to beg for forgiveness. Before we get into that crazy, most likely fake, drama let’s get to the rest. The show opened up with a montage to Heidi and Spencer, showing them leaving and the “reasons” why. Spencer claimed they thought that the show would let them stay in hotels overnight, basically be fake like their other show. It was obvious something was going on with the two when they showed that, but who knew they’d actually return again? Although the drama kids were gone, Janice and John picked up their spots as the two feuded about soggy boots. Janice had trouble moving the pot of water around the fire and accidentally spilled water into John’s boots. He woke up to find his shoes were wet and had a mini meltdown. Janice apologized but it only got worse from there.

When John asked Janice for shampoo, she denied him. That set John off. I mean he doesn’t have any hair so not sure why he need half of her shampoo, but he felt that she was being inconsiderate considering all that he has done for her. That led John to call Janice some not-so nice names and Janice was shocked. She’s said worse to people though, so I’m surprised she reacted the way she did but it almost seemed like she was about to quit. In the confessional Janice cried and seemed to have a breakdown. John was angry at first and was ok with what he called her, but he eventually realized he reverted to past ways and had a break down himself. The celebs are really showing their true colors, for once, and without Speidi we actually get to see them. John apologized again and again to Janice but she didn’t seem to hear it. She’s sick with bronchitis, can’t you tell?, and that is the reason for her “crazy” behavior. I’ll stick with Angela’s idea though, she’s sick in the head.

Heidi & Spencer Run For the Hills On I’m A Celebrity

After a very Pratt filled premiere of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, the show returns for night two with just as much Speidi action. Left over from last night the show opened up from the Trauma Torture where five of the celebrities remained. Patti and Lou ended up going out next once the snakes and water started filling the tank, and thanks to a snake on her face Torrie also bailed, making the guys immune from the vote. That left Stephen and Sanjaya left to battle it out, but Stephen quit first giving Sanjaya the immunity win. It didn’t mean anything for him other then safety for the guys. Returning to camp the celebs found a nice bed which everyone believed would be Sanjaya’s. It turns out it was Lou’s, for being camp leader but it didn’t seem to matter. Guess winning the immunity challenge means diddly other then safety for a group, where’s the fun in that?

The next morning the tune turned once again to Heidi and Spencer who spoke about their Christianity to the group, making Janice a bit upset. She believed that Spencer wanting a baptism from Stephen was stupid, considering the fact that Stephen isn’t an ordained minister. They left that little tiff die down though and another started when it was revealed that one male and one female would be playing in the trial for food. Spencer quickly spoke up that he and Heidi would do it, but Janice wanted Sanjaya to do it being that he actually wanted to do it and has tried around camp. Spencer fought the idea and Stephen chimed in, I guess they are born again friends now. Spencer ended up winning thanks to the guys voting for him, allowing Spencer and Heidi the chance to play for food and make a fool of themselves.
