Two More Self Pranksters On Game Show In My Head

Last week two episodes of Game Show In My Head proved to be rather entertaining but didn’t perform too well in the ratings. Pitted against college football isn’t the best time slot for the show but at least its good! The nights first player was Ron Ramsey and had to complete his first task in a dirty porta-potty. Not only did he have to get a tissue, while sitting in the porta-potty, he also had to get a magazine from someone and hold a full minute conversation. He quickly pulled off getting the magazine and tissue but the conversation was just odd and crazy. He started off well by calling for help but people just wouldn’t take the bait. Things got a bit strange when he asked people to hum some “soft music”. Luckily he was able to gain his $5,000 by asking for sight seeing locations, moving onto his second task and another possible $5,000. After completing one task by sitting down Ron then had to complete one in his sleep. He had to fall asleep next to someone and let his head fall onto their shoulder for 30 seconds. It only took him two tries and so far Ron is doing really well!

With only three tasks left Ron had to then ask someone to spy for him while he sat under their table. Where do people come up with these things and WHY do people actually go through with it? They do and they did as most everyone he asked let Ron crawl under their table. The one guy even took the picture of a random stranger for Ron, giving him another $5,000 and proving people will do anything you ask them too. Next up was a cell phone task where he had to have people yell out answers to him while he screamed on his phone. It took Ron awhile to find out what Justin Timberlake’s name and failed while getting someone to spell belligerent. That put him at $15,000 going into the fifth task which was a drousy. He had to get someone to give him their drivers license number and allow him to bother his identity. Ron was able to get someones numbers but failed to get their thumbprint. On his last try Ron got someones thumbprint but not their numbers, keeping him at the $15,000 going into the final challenge as he played to double his money.

CBS Premieres ‘Gameshow In My Head’ On January 3rd

CBS hasn’t much luck getting past their three Reality staples. Survivor, Big Brother and The Amazing Race seem to be the only reality shows that CBS can actually depend on. The eye has tried out several shows over the years, all ending after one or two seasons, or in some cases one episode. Rock Star is the only reality type show that CBS held for two seasons, other then the three, and dropped off after ratings fell. Then there was America’s Greatest Dog and Kid Nation. Both were great shows but didn’t perform well thanks to time slots and overall promotion. The last two didn’t even get a full season on air: Pirate Master and Celebrity Hidden Talents. Pirate Master was a mixture of Survivor and Big Brother, themed to pirates. It was an amazing how to watch but sadly the ratings did not agree. Celebrity Hidden Talents only latest one episode, thank god, as it’s format was awful.

So after gaining a new Reality Programming Director, CBS is ready to pump out some new reality blood. But with all their failures will Game Show In My Head actually become a hit? It seems like CBS is trying change their style as the show has more of a FOX feel. Hosted by Fear Factor alum Joe Rogan, Game Show In My Head has contestants punking themselves on the street. They are all wearing an ear piece and must perform stunts, courtesy of Joe back in a studio. Each task they are able to perform gains money for their pot, but by missing only one task they will go home empty handed. Produced by Ashton Kutcher its obvious to  see the Punk’d connection. The show is set to premiere on Saturday January 3rd at 8pm. Airing on Saturday’s probably is a death sentence for ratings but hopefully CBS can finally pull out a winner in Game Show In My Head.
