I love the alaska experiment. I’ve always loved the thought of living in a cabin with no utilaties. I grew up in the mountains of Oregon where we had a minning cabin, and I simply loved every minute I spent there. We even caught steelhead fish bare handed. I’m 60 years old, but I know I could do it. I’m able to shoot a rifle or hand gun (and very good at it), I can skin an animal, preserve it’s hide, and preserve the meat. Please let me know when and if I can put in a aplacation for the next show. thank you very much. Jane Castro

I loved the show Alaska Experiment so much-didn’t miss one episode. It has always been a dream of mine to go somewhere remote like Alaska. I love the outdoors, and would treasure an experiment such as this. Please let me know when the second casting will start so I can sign up myself and my wife. I am 25 and my wife is 26 and live in Colorado.

I loved the show as well. I was so in to it that I felt at times I was there. I’m from Chicago Ill. I’ve lived here all my life except for a few years that I lived in Kentucky. Living there was the closest I came to an out doors experience, well that and camping. I truly love the out doors and all that nature has to offer. I’ve seen a lot of this country as I was an over the road truck driver for about 8 years. I’m 40 yrs old now and would love the chance for a “true” adventure like the one I seen on TV. There’s so much I don’t know about living off the land or in extreme elements that it would be great challenge I would look forward to. I’m sure that what we’ve all seen was just a little piece of what everyone went through and I would really love the chance to fill in the blanks for myself. Please let me know when I apply for a spot in this incredible test of character. Rob C.

This was by far the best show I’ve seen. I work nights, so the DVR was very helpful. I would love to get away from the hustle and bustle of technology and enjoy, for once, the openness and raw aspects of Alaska. The journey would be tough, but for a small town girl who’s never been able to experience even the slightest bit of nature like this, it would be a dream come true. It took me until I was 34 to even begin my dream of being a nurse because I started my family right out of high school. Maybe even take along my 18y old daughter and maybe get back what we’ve lost in the past few years. I’m sure my 16y old would love it as well, but age is most likely a problem for him.

Thanks for the chance to express.

I am a 23 year old Marine, who is getting ready to get out of the Corps. I am very interested in volunteering for the Alaska Experiment 2 because I think it would be an exciting change of pace from the combat situations that I endured while in Iraq. Thank you for the opportunity, and please e-mail me any information you have.

  11. SURVIVALIST Says:

reading some of the comments makes me absolutely laugh, especially the guy whating to volenteer thats been in iraq. you probably couldnt make it the first week, let alone 3-4 months. shooting people in the desert isnt anything like being in real survival situations.hunping around in the sand is easy compared to hunting for your own food, making your own shelter and your entire life depending on what skills you possess and your actual will to survive. in alaska you arent going to have a squad to help you with your stuff, youll have to do it all on your own. id guarantee i could outlast you without batting an eyelash. ive spent my whole life in situations like that by choice. id apply, but with my experience id bet money they wouldnt even consider me.

  12. Dave Says:

    Survivalist,
You are surely someone that hates our brave young people that put their lives on the line to provide a free and wonderful country and ask for nothing in return.
Your huge ego could probably survive the Alaska Experiment, but you as a person would not stand a chance. Find another site to do your military bashing !!!

  13. Rob Says:

    Dave,
I agree 110% Thanks for speaking up when it is needed!

Been searching all over for applications for season 2 of the Alaska Experiment. If you have any information regarding that please let me know…

  16. Steve Says:

Survivalist, you sound like an arrogant fool that would’nt last a day in Alaska with a Marine before he pounds you to a pulp!! Therefore that would make the Marine a better survivalist then you!!!

  17. iraq vet Says:

speaking from experience in iraq. alaska would be something you cant compare to it. complete opposite’s. extreme VS. extreme cold.shooting for food and shooting to keep from getting shot at. sure alaska has its dangers, weather, bears, wolves, starvation. but it is nothing compared to beig rocked by an IED or being shot at by a person who doesnt care for thier own life. wondering if you are going to make it through the next night without being killed by incoming mortars and rockets. or if the gates will get stormed by the surrounding enemy. maybe you sir should inlist in the marine’s and go to iraq since it is such a cakewalk. im sure you would do just fine with your handy skills of lighting fires and shooting deer. considering you dont need a fire and there are no dear, im sure you can figure out what would happen. so next time your ignorance shows, shove it back into the cold heart it dugg itself out from. thousands of US soldiers have died so that you can have the ability to say your arrogant comments. without them this country would be nothing. think about that the next time you oen your mouth to a true soldier. and if you see one, i hope you say what you just said on here. cause i promise you, they wont be easy.

Anyone have insight into who the cast will be for Season 2? It’s not me unless they call today. Although I’m disapointed I don’t get to go I’m eager to hear who does and to see how they faire in the new format.
