Big Brother 9 - Not One, Not Two, but THREE Twists!

4:56 am Big Brother 9, CBS

The night began like any other season with the introduction of the 16 new houseguests. All were excited to receive their key and none expected what they were going to be putting themselves through.he seven girls were the first to enter the house and suddenly realized that the doors to the bedrooms were locked. All of them knew something was up and read the love quotes scattered throughout the house.

Before the guys could enter Julie had a few things to tell us. Not all of the houseguests would be strangers as Jacob and Sharon were exs while Ryan and Jen are currently dating. Could this be where the “dirty little secrets” come into play?

When the guys came in everyone suddenly found out they were a group of singles and realized even more so then before that something was up. Julie then came in to break the news and announced the pairings. Amanda and Alex were first paired up and were very happy with that selection. Next up were James and Chelsia who, at first seemed to like each other, seemed somewhat neutral about their partners. The third pairings where Natalie and Matt which made sense after their interviews about each other were aired. Although Jen and Ryan are currently dating, they were not found to be each others soul mates as Jen and Parker were the next pair announced. Josh and Neil were next up and then we got to Jacob and Sharon. Jacob seemed happy to get the second chance with his ex while Sharon wanted nothing to do with him. The last pairs were selected as Allison and Ryan, and Sheila and Adam.

After it was revealed she was paired with Adam, Sheila became very upset. She told Adam that he was not her type and became the first person to cry in the Diary Room. Adam was upset, and embarrassed that Sheila was acting like this and both were very upset at their partner.

As the partners go to know each other, Julie revealed a third unknown twist to the houseguests. The first challenge would not be for Head of Household but rather for the new “Power Couple”. The pair to win would be the sole vote in evicting one pair from the house, and had to do so in a few hours after the challenge ended.

During the Power Couple challenge, the pairs were suspended above a bed. One person was harnessed and suspended while the other had to hold on to the person in the air. Some of the pairs dropped quickly and when half were gone the remaining were told that if they could get a pillow from the bed below and won the challenge, they would win $10,000 as well. It came down to Matt/Natalie and Jen/Parker. Jen and Parker had the pillow while Matt and Natalie didn’t. This lead Jen and Parker to ultimately win the Power Couple challenge and will evict one pair from the house. This pair will be revealed on tomorrows episode but will probably be known tonight when the feeds air live.

Now that twist had affected the game dramatically and I’m not too sure how much drama the house can hold. After the feeds popped on much drama ensued as we quickly learned who was evicted the other night, who won the HoH, that the house is split in two and more drama of fighting couples all revolving around Jen and Ryan.
