Amanda WAS Right With ‘Bueno’…. Kind Of
March 9, 2008 8:12 am Big Brother 9, CBSSo I did a little research of what exactly ‘bueno’ means since I know everyone thinks Amanda is kind of dumb for using it the way she did. Yes in most cases it does mean good BUT there is a case where it can mean hello! If you look on Spanish Word of Mouth you will see that Amanda was not completely off base:

In Mexico, ¿Bueno? is said as a question to answer the phone. (Most Latin American countries use ¿Aló? to answer the phone.)
As you can see bueno CAN mean hello in the case of answering the phone. Ok so it’s a stretch but still she’s kind of right and not THAT dumb! So vote for her to come to the show by going to CBS.com. Bueno!
