I’ve never really gotten into So You Think You Can Dance but it was on tonight so I gave it a shot. I thought it was going to be very similar to American Idol as there would be some amazing talent while most of the auditions focused on those who sucked. But I found myself being completely wrong as most of those who were shown were pretty good and probably knew they could dance. Once thing I found entertaining was how well the show goes into back stories. Rather then just spewing out people left and right like Idol, So You Think focused more on the people themselves rather then going through so many auditions that were pointless. I can honestly say the show seems interesting I don’t know if I will follow through. I felt bad for the girl who got far last year then came back this season with a injured knee. It was emotional and something I hardly see on Idol. But I never really get into Idol post-auditions so I fear So You Think may suffer the same fate. I can say that it was a few entertaining hours and I may watch again tomorrow but we shall see. If anyone would like to write recaps for So You Think You Can Dance though they are welcome to.
